Volume control not working

Try by set the remote control with an other code said for your device. Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/ http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Search the site by type in the brand name of your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the Home page display" to see the set-up codes to your device, with different brand remote controls. Programming Notes • If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote. • Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality. This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.

My MX-900 Universal Remote Control is completely draining new batteries after just 4 days (with minimal use). The remote is 6 years old and has never had this problem before.

There should be short circuited component/s inside the remote control. It will be good to buy a new one, rather than try to repair this remote control. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have. Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this site too. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some online sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

I have to push really ******* the buttons to change channels...everything is just mushy!

There are carbon contact on the back side of the rubber buttons, and after a while, these do not make a good connection. It can be cleaned, but that doesn't mean it will restore the functions. Best to buy a new remote.

Stops working, beeps and test button comes on

Have you tried pulling the batteries for a while? That alone may fix it. Sometimes, not many, there is a reset procedure for not only for the unit, but the remote also. If that doesn't work, you will have to replace it. Next time you ask a question, please give us the type of unit, the make and model number. Without that, we would have to guess what type of product you have.

Mx-900 wasn't switching channels. Tried new batteries but it is now reading loader. is there a way to get back to normal operation

Try removing the batteries, then short out the terminals in the remote. This should discharge any residual power in the components in the remote. Re insert the batteries and it should then work ok

Why won't MX 900 turn on even after putting in new batteries

The obvious question here is: are the batteries installed the correct way? Here is a web page to download the operator manual: http://www.universalremote.com/pdf/MX-900OwnerManual.pdf Also; are your batteries good? are they making good contact? Has the remote been damaged by leaking batteries? Inspect and test. Do you have the original remote controls for the devices you are trying to control? If so... do they work? Remember... they will need batteries too! Are there manual switches on the device you want to control? Do they work? Can you turn it on and off? We are moving through a process to identify which items work, which are good and which are faulty.

Electricity went out, when restored remote does not work

One of two options here honey... the battery in the remote is flat and needs replacing or... the remote receiving device in the unit was blown, or now has no power to operate. Change the battery... replace the remote... if the problem remains then the problem lies in the controlled device itself. DO NOT attempt this repair yourself.
