This Model is designed in such a way that To Save Battery, the Backlight Turns OFF when you are not using your Phone .The Backlight Turns ON when you Press any Key.

To Set How Long your Phone Waits before the Backlight Turns OFF :-

Go to Settings > Other Settings > Initial Set Up > Backlight

Most of the people want to know the language setting of this phone and it is very difficult when it turn into chinese .. follow these simple rules below...

Go to
Setting (which is 9th menu)

then got to
5th option

then got to
2nd Option

then got to
7th option (language)

then select
2nd option English

I had the same problem on my Motorola C139 TRACFONE, and I just figured it out. When you type a letter, quickly hit the "0+↑" button. If you don't do if fast enough it will register as a +. But if you do it quickly it will change the case of the letter typed. To put it back just type the next letter and quickly hit the "0+↑" button again and it will change it back. hope this helps TW

hi you can get the codes from this site simpleunlocking to remove the simlock in your mobile.here they had the codes for all gsm mobile models along with the instructions about how to use the codes in your mobile.

You aren't going to find a free code anywhere online. Check out eBay or an unlocking website such as unlocktycoon.com. They had my Blackberry unlocked in under 5 minutes and answered the question I had almost immediately. Hope that helps!

According to the manual they suggest that the Backlight may be set to "OFF". To change this press the Menu key>Settings>Other Settings>Initial Setup>Backlight, and change it to on. If this doesn't work and you suspect that the display is truly burnt out, Go to your nearest mega store and buy a C139 tracfone for $14 and switch out your SIM card. your minutes and service should be be transfered to the new phone
