LG VX8500 Black Verizon i need to unlock it so i can activate it in other service provider... .
Thanks..
e-mail me @ [email protected]...
Not happening ... Verizon phones run on a CDMA network. Cingular and T Mobile run on GSM ... Sprint although runs on CDMA .. last i heard were making most of their phones hybrid (CDMSA and iDEN ) and verizon phones can in no way shape or form be made a hybrid phone... specially not an LG phone.
Also, with verizon phones, there's nothing to unlock .. they are ESN bound phones meaning only the service provider can say YES or NO weather they'll use it on their network or not. There's no CIM cards
Sorry

I have tried to format a Sandisk 2.0 GB micro sd card to my LG Chocolate VX8550. The phone does not appear to even read or recognize that there is a card. I have used the included adapter and my computer recognizes and utilizes the card--any suggestions beyond maybe the phone is broken?
Here are the steps I took:

I bought a 1GB memory card to put already downloaded music on to use in my phone (lg chocolate)... i've tried 4 different programs, yahoo music jukebox, itunes, windows media player, & real player to save the songs on my card, it's not working... the man @ verizon recommended windows media player, but the only music it brings up is music that was downloaded along time ago. i've tried all the options to find my libary of music, but nothing current comes up. when i try yahoo jukebox (which is what i use to put music on my mp3 player) i keep getting a "Device Tracking Failed" error... when i searched the error it states "A problem has occurred in retrieving the Digital Rights Management machine identification. Contact Microsoft product support."
any suggestions are appriciated!!!
1. Put a micro SD card into your phone. (Make sure it's blank)
2. Format the card from your phone. To do this go into "Menu//Settings & Tools//Memory//Card Memory" then click on "Options" that should open the format screen. Enter your security code (usually the last four digits of your cell #) and format the card.
3. Exit all menu screens by pressing the "End" button and remove your card.
4. Insert your card back into your PC. It should recognize the card and open a "Removable Disk" window. (if not, manually open this window by clicking on "Start//My Computer//drive E: or F:" , they might vary depending on your computer set-up.
5. You should see a folder named "my_music". That's where you are going to drag your music files into.
6. DO NOT open any media player. Just find the location of your music FILES. Usually if you click on "Start//My Music" your music FILES will be stored there.
7. Simply drag and drop music FILES into the folder that I listed on #5. DO NOT drag an albulm. It won't work. Just the music file.

A couple weeks ago around 7:30 in the morning my boyfriend received a text message that said it was sent from me. Problem is, I did not send him that text message. I was home alone so no one else would have sent that text from my phone either. I have verizon and I talked to their technical help line and they said they don't even have any records of that text being sent. It didn't come from verizons v-text website either. My boyfriend saved the text so I know he received it, but we have no idea where it came from. It is pretty freaky because it definitely says it came from me and my cell phone number. Here's the reason why I'm trying to find out how this was possible and why it happen, if the text was sent from me, it would imply that I was cheating on my boyfriend so this whole thing was quite a headache when it happened. I do have an ex that has been in the cell phone industry for almost ten years, so I wonder if he somehow sent it. Or maybe somehow somebody's text got lost and for some reason got sent to my boyfriend? I've never had this happen, nor have I ever heard of this happening. Please help. Verizon couldn't tell me anything.... they were clueless.
Very easy....your phone is Cloned....your ex has been in the cell phone field for 10 years or so, he has the know how. Pay attention to this, does your phone ever hang-up on you by itself? Like if you hd press the end button? Or it would ring and no one is at the other end?
Best Solution: Get another phone...tell the VZW rep about this. They might replace for free....because this would show their service/network's enferiority.
Alt. Solution: Find someone with my experience and fight fire with fire. Clonning is a FEDERAL crime!
With the new phone, do not let it out of your possession again. All this person needs is the ESN on the back of your phone, your phone number and the MIN number...and you will be back to square one trying to justify with you currnent man.

i hooked up my sd card to my computer and saved my music to the card and when i put the card back in my phone i cant find the music, it tells me that the micro sd does not contain supported music files and i checked to see if the music was saved to the card and it is, what do i do?
Okay, try this. I had the same problem, but I finally found the solution. If you plug up your phone into the computer, and it doesn't pop up with the Hard Drive and Removable Devices, this is what you must do. {{{Settings > USB > Mass Storage}}} Then, plug it up. It should pop up then. Then you can drag and drop music files from your computer to the phone. It's rather simple once you find out what to do.Hope I was able to help guys!
