Start up file missing or corrupted, is there a
sounds like a faulty hard drive, will need to be tested. otherwise someone has wiped the software on the drive but you will need a windows disc to get it back up and running if its just software

To solve your problem do the following steps:
1. Install the sound card driver
2. Right click of My Computer Icon or Start -> Setting -> Control Panel ->Add Hardware
3. Select & Click on Properties
4. Select & Click on Hardware tab
5. Click on Device Manager
6. Select "Other Device"
7. Select the "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus"
8. Right Click on it and select on update driver
9.Place the CD and install the drivers
Not switching on
Hi, Disconnect your ac adaptor from the laptop and remove the battery for about 30mins. Then keep power button pressed for about 10 seconds. Now fit install the battery and the power lead, wait for the mains led to liight which should also show the battery led as being charged, after 20 seconds, power up the laptop.
It should now power up, if not check if any flashing leds are present and if the lcd screen tries to light up.
HOW DO I USE RECOVERY ONE TOUCH
Press the lenovo care button as soon as you turn on your laptop. You may have to press it a bunch of times to get it to go in. If that doesn't work then you'll have to use an operating system cd and download the drivers from lenovo's website.

If the key is physically stuck in the "down" or pressed postion, the key may have become disconnected from the mechanism underneath that returns it to the "up" position.
All keys on all keyboards can be removed. This includes laptops. On laptops, the keys typically have less travel (up and down) than a desktop keyboard and the key attaches to the keyboard differently.
In either case, use a small screwdriver or your fingernail and gently lift up on the key - to return it to the "up" position. When in that position, see if the rest of the keyboard works.
If it does, you can simply lift up on the key and remove it from the keyboard. The support that is underneath will either be removed with the key or will remain on the keyboard.
Re-attaching the key involves aligning the key with the ends of the support bracket and snapping it back into place. (Most keyboards have a white plastic structure that forms a X on 2 sides - allowing the key to move up and down.)
With the key removed, look at the edges of the surrounding keys to get an idea of how it attaches, align the parts and press it back into place.

see if that releases CTRL.
2. Go to Start / Settings / Control Panel / Accessibility Options /
Keyboard Options.
Turn off CTRL lock if it's on.
If that solves it and to avoid future problems, press "Settings"
Turn off "Press modifier key twice to lock".
Turn on "Turn sticky keys off if 2 keys are pressed at once".
Or turn off "Use shortcut"
3. Clean your keyboard.

there are different reasons that could make your computer be in a black screen state:
- The screen might be bad and needs replacement.
- The screen inverter might be bad, this will not allow the screen display anything.
- The screen back light also may have died/burnt and will cause the screen not to display anything.
Also, to be sure one of the above is the problem, connect your laptop to an external monitor, and see if there will be any display. If there is a display, then one of the three problems stated is the problem.
But if there is still no display, then it means you laptop motherboard is the cause of the problem.
So I would advice that you take the laptop to a repairer to help help fix the problem.

For that you need to change wireless channel type.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet lan cable.Then you can access it with default link.

If you havce belkin rotuer then
http://192.168.15.1 or
http://192.168.2.1
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password" or "1234" .
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computer's gateway ip it is your router ip then try with that ip.
then you can see configuration page of router.
Then click on wireless and change channel type to 3 or 6 or 11 then save settings and resatart router then check.
Then if still same issue then uninstall wireless network adapter driver from laptop and reinstall then it works fine.

you have a corrupt version of xp - or -- you might be able to boot the pc - and find the boot sequence - - change it to boot to hdd or 0hdd -- 1hdd etc - best choice if you have it is hdd - then 0hdd - and so on.

umm lol funny thing that i know some ppl that can get thre this but i cant i woulditn try you can with the help of a hdd caddy take all your stuff out the hard drive then reistall windows but to let you know it can be done you will need to take it to an ethical hacker shop or find an hacker
Dual core issue
If you are able to start the application, press control+alt+delete to bring up the task manager window. Find the application in task manager, right click on it, and left click "Set Affinity". Now, remove one of the checks so that the process is only allowed to run on one processor core.
