Hi Carol,
The three keys over your mouse pad are for the little nib mouse in the keyboard they are the Right and left click as well as a scroll in the middle. If you are referring to the FN key on the system they are function keys that are shown on the keyboard as blue lettering to use them you hold down the FN key and hit the one you need.
The accent over the e is a language setting i take it your on windows XP but the steps to go to the language settings are shown from Microsoft here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/winxp/yourlanguage.mspx

Hello.

Your system file is corrupted.

You could try to repair, if you have the Windows CDs:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058 See Option 1 and Option 2

If still a problem, try System Restore: Boot your system to Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly). Go to System Restore and choose a date when your system worked and follow the prompts.

If still a problem, try Factory Restore, which would take your system to when you purchased it initially. Boot your system and press F11 repeatedly. Follow the prompts.

Hope one of these choices work. If not, you may need to reinstall the operating system from scratch.

Helo i try to play a game and i get nmi memorry

There are number of things that can cause an error like this. Faulty memory, a bad harddrive, a failing motherboard, or a corrupt OS.
If you get this error every time you power on your PC than follow the below steps
It probably meant the installation itself was corrupt, not the disk you were using.

To test your memory try Windows Memory Diagnostic Test
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp

The Windows Memory Diagnostic tests the Random Access Memory (RAM) on your computer for errors. The diagnostic includes a comprehensive set of memory tests. If you are experiencing problems while running Windows, you can use the diagnostic to determine whether the problems are caused by failing hardware, such as RAM or the memory system of your motherboard. Windows Memory Diagnostic is designed to be easy and fast. On most configurations, you can download the diagnostic, read the documentation, run the test and complete the first test pass in less than 30 minutes.

Or you can try memtest

To test your hard drive for corrupt/bad sectors find the manufacturer of your hard drive and run their Hard Drive Diagnostics Utility.

This will give us a foundation to work on and will (should) eliminate two possible sources of your problem.

Lenovo T61 keeps shutting down

Automatic shutdown is always cause of overheating, busted heatsink/ fan/motherboard. if the fan and heatsink wasnt replaced yet though they check it fine i would still recommend replacing it. if the problem persists a mainboard replacement would be the last part needs to be replaced.
