Wet phone
for one you do not want to keep trying to power up a wet phone.pull the battery and let it sit over the heat vent for a few days.by trying to keep powering up you can actually short electronics inside.another thing you can do is use a blow dryer.depending on how much water is inside,i have actually brought a few back to life..if you can find someone that has enough mechanical background 2 open it up there is some great electronic cleaner called missy that will disapate the water.but leave it on the vent for a few days with the battery pulled and you want to get it as open as you can to get the water out
Software
Qwest mobile IS Sprint! (at least for now)
Are you using the same phone you bought the cable for?
You really shouldnt need to use software. Once your phone is connected via USB you can open it like a removable drive. assuming the cable is the correct one for the phone.
Katana II likely water damage... Help!
Take the battery off, unfold the phone, set it in a warm, dry place and pray like heck. plugging it in may help it stay warm but leave it off.
If its minor water exposure it'll likely be fine in 2-3 days.

Random icon and alarm
The orange bell simply means that you've 'missed' your alarm... as in you haven't turned it off before it finished its alarm sequence. If you go to Menu - 'Missed Alerts' it should be shown in there. Click on it and say 'dismiss', the orange bell should disappear and the alarm should return to normal.
Ringtones
Most like your telcom switched from polyphonic ringtones to mp3 or real-tone ringtones only.
The Katana 6600 only plays polyphonics(QCB) ringtones. And they're impossible to find. So you have to make your own.
Help
you need to send it to be opened and the board cleaned before it gets more corrosion on the ships and then for sure it will not be good
Sanyo Katana
Help!!! I have had Sanyo Katana SCP6600B for about 16 months. My first problem with it arose the other day. The battery ran dry, so I attempted to recharge. After a couple of hours ,I attempted to restart the phone. It wouldn't re-activate. When I plug the phone into the re-charger, it comes on for about five minutes; ( I can call out, retrieve messages , check my contact list , etc.) , and then goes dead. I can only get it going again by unplugging the charger, and then re-connecting it....
So now I have a cell phone which only works when plugged into the mains, and then only temporarily! Not very practical...
Can anyone suggest what is the problem, and if it can be fixed?
