Sounds like you have a bad power supply or possibly a power supply not rated for your tv or the display is just junk . Unplug it and leave it unplugged until you can get it fixed or looked at, POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD!!!

They would have to purchase it from LG (brand indicated here) it will be on that board (some are on same board as buttons or separate board.like this without the metal frame in most cases--item in picture is under 1/2 inch tall.

the capacitors on the power board are getting weak and taking longer to charge up eventually the set will not power n. You can get the replacement capacitors or the replacement power supply from www.tvrepairworld.com

I would not even bother--the salt water has damaged all boards in the set and over time the set will have additional problems----kind of like a small car that has been in an accident , no matter how well it is repaired it will never be the same as before and will have continued issues related to the damage that happened.

The issue may be inside the display panel or very near it---try very gentle probe of cables with back off and set on----careful!

you will need a new main board, your set has several different variations. The cost of the replacement board can range from $100-$150 from reliable sources. If you decide to order a new board, you will need to find out the part # of your main board so that you are ordering the correct board.

I just had this problem and got it solved. The issue is that your cable box is likely set to the wrong aspect ratio, so your tv will not be able to display the picture properly without this setting changed. On my cable box(Pace), you need to turn the power off to the cable box using the remote. Then hit the menu button on the remote and a new menu will appear on the screen. Change the aspect ratio to 16:9 and you should be all set. Hope this works for you too.

hello Ray. you have an internal fuse that is faulty and kicks off when it warms up.

I would suggest you contact LG even if the set is out of warranty there may be a software upgrade for this kind of issue or they may be by model number familiar with the problem.It is what I call a micro related problem-all sets have a micro processor and when you unplug the set it resets this circuit.

We had the same problem of pathetic sound quality and volume with a sony brava. Thats just the way they make tv's these days because most people buy a surround sound system as well. We bought logitec computer surround sound speakers for about $140 and plugged into the ear jack, problem solved, we have heaps of volume and stacks of bass.

Hi, Check menu for channel behavior on TV set it to manual setting. Good luck.If that does not work take it to repairman.

That symptom is usually the common problem of LCD TV.The cause of that problem is no back lights,that's why there's no picture in the screen.There's no back lights because of faulty back lights inverter.There's a blown surface mounted fuse in the PCB cause of shorted transistor or transformer in the inverter board.
