Normally unit technical sheet is hidden for technician reference inside the front bottom kick plate or just under it. Please put it back after using it to the right place. Next guy working on your fridge need to refer that.

From about an hour of searching your refrigerator I found that the problem is in the control board mounted on the back of refrigerator. Could have had premature relay failure if compressor is now running fine again.

These models have two fans. One is located inside the unit. The fan inside blows air across the cooling coils. With the door open this fan is usually running other than defrost cycle. If this fan has stopped it will cause the compressor to overheat and the relay will cycle. The second fan equally as important is located under a fiberboard cover accessible from the back of the unit at the bottom. This fan is usually noticeable by an air flow sound. Usually air flow is detectable out of the front grill. If this fan fails to operate, blocked due to a major build up of lint the compressor will overheat and cycle as you hear, Hope this helps? Try this and add tap water to the empty ice maker. Turn it on if off and if after the water freezes the ice maker cycles dumping the ice into ice bucket and if the ice maker does not refill with water on its own you will need to replace the=> 2188746 Water Inlet Valve If the ice maker does nothing then replace the=> 2198597 Ice Maker Assembly Thanks John Tripp Appliance 911

Mine did the same thing today and I just got off the phone with Whirlpool and they said it just means that the 6th Sense technology is activated. If you put a bunch of warm food in the refrigerator or leave the door open for a while, the 6th Sense technology kicks on to return the refrigerator to the set temperature. The flashing 6 should go away once it gets back to the right temperature.

first unplug the machine then:
check the lamp scoket for flattened metal bars
if they are not touching the bulb pull them up to contact the side and, bottom of the lamp base replace the bulb and plug the machine in then:if that didn't work; if you can substitute another new identical bulb then: check again next check for a broken door switch
