Wireless laser mouse 5000 model 1058, manufactured march 2008
Hello,
I found a website that offers the
LR6 AA batteries that you were talking about and maybe purchase online. They look like regular AA batteries to me, but I am providing the link for you to view and make your determination. I hope this helps.
If you would not mind doing so could you please rate my help, I would appreciate it. Thanks

Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000 Problem (USB UNRECOGNIZED)
install a logitech driver for this mouse they usually have a compatibility issue with an irq in nividia but with logitech drivers the irq setting is set off the nividia set
or you can manually set the irq setting for either nividia or your mouse manually did the techs explain this too you when you took it in
this is likely the case that the wireless l.d. is haveing conflict with nividia irq setting
heres a link with another possiblility that is states its 2 links one for all the troubleshooting problems and the one decriscribed of what your asking about
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/ph/9961?cid=C_53569
trouble shooting page with all problems if you want to look threw every one on the page
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/223256/en-us
the actual problem page so you dont have to go looking for it yourself threw all the links posted on first link

Set up of a Microsoft wireless keyboard & mouse
The devices probably came with a USB cable and a receiver, or just a USB equiped receiver, that you need to plug into your computer. Go ahead and plug the cable and receiver into the computer so that your wireless mouse and keyboard has a means to communicate with the computer. Next, Here is a website address where you can download drivers for your mouse and keyboard. You must first choose either mouse or keyboard, then the exact product and model, then the operating system, and finally the language. repeat the process for the other device (mouse or keyboard, whichever you did not choose first). Good Luck! And let me know if there are any further problems.

The Keyboard not working, MS Wireless, laser, desktop 5000
i don't like the sound of you taking the hard drive out of a old computer and loading it in your new one without reinstalling windows especially with windows XP your choice i guess.
Did you try and couple the keyboard and receiver by pressing and holding the button on the keyboard for a while?

Installation problem
Go to your control panel and then click add remove programs. Uninstall your old mouse and keyboard programs and then try to install the Microsoft one again. That should fix your problem.

Wireless Laser Desktop 5000 and Mouse installation
Hi
i would y going to the web site and check with them if you have thee right drivers for your XP OS as some programs still do not ship with the right drivers if this fails try just disconecting your mouse and key oard the shut your PC down and start it up again when you hear the beep to let you know that you do not have a key baoard or mouse reconect the two items may be XP will try to load you key board and mouse for you as it has a host of drivers for most components
Hope this works
