I have a old Denon AVE 1907 WHICH WORKED PERFECTLY OVER SEVERAL YEARS. However, suddenly I notice a diming light on the panel and it remains. The problem is persisting now. Initially, it indicated the fluctuation of the intensity of display and brightness remained continuously. Now it Is always in dim state.

download AVE1907 service manual and check all voltages supplied to panel including (positive and negative voltages as well as an AC voltage. ). If they are correct, replace all capacitors located on this board.

Denon 1508 after 15 minutes the speakers make static noise. they are ok when you first turn on goes good sound for about 15 to twenty minutes then the speakers all 5 of them make static noise

Its possible you have a bad audio driver board that once it heats up starts causing that problem. Try taking to radio shop unless your good with electronics.

Denon AV 1801 doesnt appear to power up even though the screen comes up.Also there is no sound output. Is there an inherent problem with these?

“Denon AV 1801 doesnt appear to power up even though the screen comes up.”Screen lit up means CPU does not have any problem. Did it power up within 5 second? If yes, find out which protection is now working. “Also there is no sound output” May be DSP problem. Remember to download AVR1801 service manual to check protection and DSP problem.

Denon avr-1500 no X auto tune feature. when up & down scan buttons pressed, just keeps scanning w/out finding station. it does lock into a station when manually scanned. need reset & if so, how?

“when up & down scan buttons pressed, just keeps scanning w/out finding station. it does lock into a station when manually scanned. need reset & if so, how?” Don't worry. Your amp is normal. Your situation happens to any denon, onkyo and yamaha av-amp always due to extremely sensitive tunning unit. No need to reset. Tune any wanted station by another radio and jot freq. down. Enter desired freq. into the av-amp and store it.

My Denon DCD 1500II worked well until the transport developed problems. I replaced both belts, it now works fine, but there is no audio. The display works and the laser tracks ok. What to look for?

Check for bad connections or soldering. You could have pulled a plug out or damaged it when replacing the belts.

Denon AVR 1804 Switch on and

I fix these receivers for a living and can tell you with certainty that the problem you have is one that will require the replacement of several parts. You will need to know how to solder and be able to purchase the proper parts.

There are 3 different most common reasons that they go into the protect mode, which is what is happening to your unit now.

1. Has a blown output channel in the amp that will require the replacement of both output transistors of the bad channel and the replacement of several resistors and a coupld of other transistors and a capacitor in the affected channel. You wil lneed a multimater to be able to check and findout which channel is bad. I can supply you with the part numbers you will need for the repair if you plan on doing it yourself.

2. A voltage regulator in the power supply is bad. They have several voltage regulators and it is a common problem for one to go bad. Once again you will need a multimeter to check and find which one it is and then get the part and replace it. I can supply the part numbers for you if needed.

3. A resistor that supplies the amplfier circuit has opened up and needs to be replaced. This is the least expensive repair, but not as common as the other two. Only one resistor would need to be replaced. You need a multimeter to verify that it is bad, I can tell you which resistor to check and loet you know by the readings with the meter if it is bad.

Those 3 problems are the most common reasons for the receiver to shut down like your is doing. I work at an authorized Denon repair center and have repaired hundreds of Denon recievers so I am certain that the problem you have is one of these three listed.

Let me know if you plan on trying to fix this yourself and I will guide you thru the repair and even email you the service manual for a reference to do this repair. It is not an easy job, but it is the problem you are having. As I said before, I fix these receivers all the time myself, and I know how to fix them. Let me know if you want further help with this.

I have a Denon AVR 5803 amp.It used to work perfect until I put it in storage for 8 years. When I hooked it up There is no sound and it won't switch the inputs.

“It used to work perfect until I put it in storage for 8 years. When I hooked it up There is no sound and it won't switch the inputs.” After 8 years , some capacitors used in switch input circuit, (capacitors used in DIR, DSP and DAC circuit make no sound)may be dry up. Replace them all to fix the problem.

My Denon AVRX3100 works fine with my Dish Network TV. The Panasonic DVD player (attached to either DVD or Blueray inputs) only has partial sound. The movie background music plays but not the voices.

Your denon amp amp does not match and work well in some players for instance "Samsung" no pictures and sound via HDMI input. Only replacing players to another brand such as LG can fix the problem.

Denon Dp-47f doesn’t work due to receiving 220volts (110v was the device voltage)? What could possibly be the reason and what needs to be changed? Thanks.

If there is a fuse carrier on the rear panel, please open it and check the fuse. This is should be the first to go. Replace it if it is blown out. OR If the fuse is OK, the power supply unit inside the Denon needs to checked. This can be done only by an approved service provider.

Denon AVR-5803.Power not turn on it just flashing on the screen then off. What causes.?

This is a normal condition when a capacitor or more on the power board has failed, this is a common issue however I can not assure you that this is your issue. I also advise against opening it up to work on it but if you did you want to locate any bulging or obviously distressed capacitors.(oozing liquid, extra plum-stolen, smelly or melted parts you can also look for weak spider joint as the cold air makes us keep the heat on more and along with prolonged use can weaken solider joint in some electronics good luck. https://www.6ya.com/mr.mike

DENON D-M03 DISPLAY IS TOO DIM

I have the same issue with my DENON receiver. I know that there must be a setting in some menu someplace. But how can you read the menu when the display is too damn dim, right? I have searched through the buttons on the remote and pressed all of them after changing the batteries twice. They are either unsmart or they don';t care. Any way it sucks
