It really just depends on what your used to, your PC specs,etcs..

You do not need to buy a new computer just to have XP.

What you can do is erase Vista off the new sony, and install XP. I can help guild you if you like, on the phone it's almost a 1-3 hour talk. Depending on your experience etc..


It's an easy process downgrading to XP, all you need is:
1.A XP Disk.(The Windows XP Operating System Disk)

That's it, you get that and we can down grade your Sony to XP.

I recommend people get vista for a secondary PC like have a desktop that you do your work on, and if you have a laptop get vista on it as your personal computer. But on the desktop being your work keep it as is.

You can install microsoft office standard 2007 into windows vista no problem you will find . I really recomend to install microsoft office 2003 because office 2007 is not so easy and frandly

you are banned .. probably multiple room bans lead to the situation going higher and Pal have a code for trouble makers to keep them offline away from pal .. it doesn't get talked about but it happens all the time .. program glitches no room lists getting pinged for bad connection warnings when when everything is just set perfect .. your band .. it will take about 2 months to get things back to normal again .. sorry but your are banned by the admin of paltalk

Check that the two machines are in the same workgroup on network settings.

The product Key is on a sticker on your case. Usually found on either the sides of the case or on the back. If the software your refering to is MS office or MS word you would than find the product key on it's manual or the sleeve that holds the CD.

The product key for Vista is normally on a sticker on the side of the machine if it was supplied pre-loaded, or on the certificate of authenticity if you bought Vista separately. Microsoft do not issue duplicate product keys - if you've lost it, and you need to reinstall, your only legal solution is to buy another license and another key.

The tests will have told you which version of Vista Microsoft think your machine will run best, based on its specifications and performance; however, this may not be the best version for your NEEDS, just for your HARDWARE.

Unless you specifically need the extra options that Vista Business has, most people who use Vista are quite content with Home Premium. have you tried running your installation as Administrator? vista need to be told that you have admin permissions, you are set by default as a reg user in vista.

tell you what go back to xp its far safer i could get in to you pc just by getin the update code top tip for you there xp is far beter not to say faster and its more simple

There are normally only two ways to get vista to recognise large drives and that is to format it within windows by way of right click my computer then click manage and then highlight your harddrive right click and select format. The other way is if your drive isnt being recognised because of the bios and needs updating, as most bios chips did when upgrading to vista.

1.Boot from XP disk
2.Deleted partitions
3.Installed XP on the new partition
4.Installs but then wont go through the rest of the process?

You need to configure the colors from the option mode in your Inbox. Or depending on what Client you are using to it there. You did not mention which Client you were using.

I would simply try another browser when using Yahoo etc. Download and install FireFox.. www.firefox.com Maybe visit "Forums" and ask for specific help.. & OR have a look on the Vista Knowledge base for a "Patch" or "Fix" for your problem. Contact Sony and ask for help
