Double check the red..yellow and ground wires..sounds like your not getting power.. check fuse in unit itself.. when installing any component in a vehicle..triple check and use things like solder and shrink wrap..always remove negative cable from vehicle battery prior to starting work or adjustments .also prior to removing cable from battery..reference owners manual.. some vehicles need to be disconnected a certain way to avoid future electrical and drivability problems..also ensure faceplate is secure

they sell wiring harnesses that connect to the car manufacturers radio/player harness with wires to connect to after market players, do they sell one for your car? not sure

It could be anything from a dirty laser lens to a bad laser assembly.

make sure the remote wire which is usually blue with a white stripe is hooked up correctly and if you have a newer vehicle make sure you have to correct wiring harness

This is NOT anything to do with the iPhone. What is required is the SECURITY CODE for that radio, this is an anti-theft system. You need to contact the maker, and they will give you a number, after proving it is legally yours.

Connect the wires according to the diagram provided with the 1998 ford f150. But on truck side you need to identify the speaker wire and power wire to connect.

If you are sure that everything is hooked up correct and have no sound, you most likely have a bad speaker that caused the final amplifier to go out. These are two chips mounted inside the radio towards the rear. they are connected to a large heat-sink to distribute heat. If your savy enough you can replace them yourself, otherwise you will need to take it to a shop. This is a comon problem and not a very expensive fix. Before replacing the deck back in the vehicle, be sure your speakers are checked and read at least 4 ohms each.

I had the same problem and all I did was buy new wires the ones that came with the stereo itself burned up and seased to work. now I paid $6.00 for it at best buy. they look the same colored wires as the ones that came in it.

under the faceplate is a small switch. there is an "A" and a "B" move it to "A" for american.

Yes. You can install ANY stereo with just two speakers. Just make sure you have the other two output wires taped off real good.
