I have not been successful to config my mailing

font.f1 {font: 12.0px Times} Hello and thanks for contacting FixYa Technical Support.

When it comes to setting up Mac OS X Mail with your BSNL
email account, because it is not a US based email account, Apple has specified that the Mac OS X Mail application will only support US-based emails. This more than likely will explain why you are unable to configure Mac OS X Mail with your email account.

I have provided the link below from Apple detailing this information.

If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to reply back to this post.

My mac intel based computer stopped booting up and

It appears from your information that your hard drive has failed. There are step-by-step instructions available for repair, such as http://jasontomczak.com/2007/11/23/4/ and many more can be found by searching on Google for 'iMac Intel Hard Drive Replacement' .. It appears to be a pretty involved process and you may decide that it isn't something you'd like to try. If you don't want to try fixing it yourself any Apple Authorized Service Provider can perform the work for you. You can find a service provider by visiting:

http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/service.html

Or, in some cases you may find a service provider that isn't authorized that can perform the repair for much less.

If you do want to try it yourself, you can purchase a compatible SATA hard drive from Newegg.com, Tigerdirect, com or a host of other on-line resellers very affordably.

If you have additional questions regarding this please let me know and I will do my best to answer them. If you have found this answer helpful please rate it as 4 thumbs up, or click YES this was helpful. Thank you!

Imac 24 - running uber slow , trying to get to

Well, there are a variety of reasons that can consequently drag down the performance of your Mac. Meanwhile, there are certain ways through which you can considerably speed up your Mac machine. For example, you can reset the browser settings to regularly clear useless caches and history, get rid of all unwanted widgets from the dashboard through the Dashboard control panel, remove unnecessary applications, find out & delete those duplicated files, or if your Mac is running out of memory, try upgrading the system RAM to boost its performance etc. However, if you prefer a more efficient way to speed up your Mac, try the following all-in-one Mac speedup tool as it can help resolve all issues in just a few clicks.

My computer starts up and

If the light stays solid for as long as you have it on then I would say that the logic board is dead. I would not bother fixing it, a new logic board costs almost as much as your computer on ebay used. If you still prefer to replace it yourself here is a link to the logic board and here is a guide to replace it. However, if the light comes on and then goes off it is probably the screen.Guide Part.

I HAVE AN IMAC 20".

You also could try

Opening up the terminal application found in the utilities folder within your applications folder and then type in
drutil tray eject and then press return

Tilt your imac so that the DVD drive is pointing downwards and press the eject key and hopefully the effect of gravity will allow the DVD to fall out.

One other way to do it which I have used recently but IT CAN BREAK THE DVD DRIVE, so only use it as a last resort. Get a thin piece of plastic and put a piece of double sided tape on it then with the imac switched off insert the piece of plastic with the tape facing down in relation to the screen. Put it in about half an inch and you may be able to drag the dvd out.

Hope this helps.

My iMac's DVD drive just keeps spitting out discs.

Your drive might need cleaning or replacement. Try using a cleaning disk available at most office supply or electronics stores.

I have a HL-DT-ST DVD-RW

If you can do the replace job on your own, find the exact burner it already has, otherwise it most likely won't work. I'd recommend using an Apple Authorized Service Provider for the replacement job, they'll get the right drive and they have the professionality to do the job right, and insurances if something goes wrong.

I Mac suddenly stopped reading the SD card?

This could be the reader or the sd card. Easy enough to narrow down. Try another card in the reader if it works then the card is the problem. If not is the hardware or driver.

You can reformat the card and sometimes that will be all that takes. Other times you just have to toss the card or it may read on another machine but not on yours.

If its the reader then it gets annoying as it is expensive to fix. Unless its covered under warranty its not really worth fixing. You are better off just getting a usb type card reader and plugging it in.

Not connecting wirelessly to mac

Thank you for contacting Fixya Support, I am glad to assist.

Depending on what type of Internet service you are using, your Intel iMac comes standard with an Airport Extreme wireless card built in. As a result, if you are unable to connect wirelessly to the Internet, you will need to try this:

- Click on the Apple menu icon, located in the upper left corner of your screen and select System Preferences from the drop down menu.

- Now locate Network from within System Preferences.
- In the side window, make sure you see Airport and check also to see that it is turned on. If it is, then check the left side window to see if the AirPort connection is active.

Keep in mind, your modem or connection router of course, has to be able to provide wireless connectivity, otherwise, if you do not, there will be no need to try connecting via your AirPort Extreme card.

If your network has been physically set as a wireless network, then just turning on the AirPort card in System Preferences>Network will start discovering all networks within its range, including your own network.

So whether you are using an Airport Extreme, Express or a 3rd party (non-Apple-branded) router, you should be able to connect wirelessly.

If you are still unable to connect with these basic steps, here are a few articles you will need to review from Apple Support informational database:
Requirements for wireless Internet access with AirPort
Airport & Bluetooth interference (for connectivity issues)

So here are some basic steps and resources you can try.

If you have more questions please feel free to post a comment.

I hope this information helps.

Imac intel dual core dvd drive will not mount

Installing Parallels should not change the way your optical drive works.

Try resetting the SMC as per the following article:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

If that doesn't work, try resetting the PRAM:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

If these do not resolve the issue you will likely need repair.

When I insert a SD card into my iMac it dose not

Uninstall the last update for your iMac. After you do that reboot it and then put the sd card and see if it reads it. If it does then you know the update was corrupting the drivers for your card reader.

If you do that and your sd card still isn't being read, try another sd card and if it still doesn't read even the 2nd card then that means its a problem with your card reader.
