I have a whirlpool side by side refrigerator model
you need to replace the main/board for sure located in the lower rear left hand wall of the unit in a plastic case, it will have 3 wire harnesses unplug the unit, undo the plastic container and unplug the the board and there will be a burned spot on the case and burned trace on the circuit board, reason being, this is very common on any of these sideXsides,if a light blows out in the refrige compartment it puts a surge on the board and burns the circuit trace open, this makes the digital temp read-out go dark and if the lamps light at all they "strobe" dimly or not at all,and you will hear a clicking of the relays in the rear area trying to latch the light bulb circuitry, but cant because the main/mother-board is defective now
Whirlpool refrigator compressor stopped working whats wrong?
Check control board ate the rear of the ff just hit the relay a tap with a screwdriver handle to see if it starts up the compressor if so if you have the know how you can replace the relay or just replace the complete board if not confident on your soldering skils
Noisy whirlpool condensor fan motor
These motors with the plastic fan are apparently failing so often that when I went to the parts store, the owner told me on guy bought 4 replacement motors for his condo complex. Buy the old version of the motor with a metal fan blade. You have to clip off the white connector on the wiring harness and then wire to the new motor using wire nuts (easy). It's a lot cheaper too - $49 for the motor and blade vs alost $100 for the crappy plastic one. Running llike a champ right now!
Fridge freezing food
Sounds more like a faulty thermostat/temp control. Depends on which specific model. Might also have a damper that could be bypassing.
