M audio sound cards
I don't believe that is going to work, the reason being the operating system will only accept one input device recording at a time...meaning you cannot record with 2 cards simultaneously....the only way you MAY be able to pull this off is if you record with 2 separate programs , and make each program use a different input device....
DELTA 10/10/LT INPUT/OUTPUT PROBLRM
Well I guess my problem is a little less important. I have 1-2 3-4 5-? 7-8. I dont know where 6 went. I even checked to see if I could plug a wire into the input and toutch it with my finger to see if I got a vu response, Nothing.
Not all Inputs and Outputs are working
To answer your question I would go to the M-audio desktop icon and double click on it to open it up. Go to monitor and make shure that you bring the levels of each one of the tracks up to 2/3 rd up. Pan each one hard left and hard right and make shure mute is off. Click the top boxes at the bottom of the vu slot and see if that helps. Also you must save it or it will return to the previous settings.
Problem with MixerInputs
I have pretty much the same setup, as in snare and bass into the xlrs. You can change the physical jumper positions on the sound card, to give you a lower gain, as in mic/line (details in the manual)
This lowers the input gain. Unfortunately, this can sometimes be too low. It's one or the other.
No sound
Try installing this driver :

May or may not be compatible cause this driver is for windows xp. I don't see a vista driver yet.
How do you set up surround sound for DVD playback in windows xp?
Do you have 5.1 speakers? Becouse you need to plug in all the 5.1 speakers to the differnt ports on your soundcard.
If you only have 2 speakers you wont be able to get the 5.1 surrond sound your after and it will default to 2 speakers.
If you do have 5.1 speakers then you will need to check the option in the control panel in the M-Audio window.
It has an option for 5.1 surround.
If your software cannot play 5.1 surround them get some other software that can.
My M-audio FireWire 410 doesn't work
It sounds like you may be experiencing a configuration issue with your M-Audio FireWire 410 audio interface. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the connections: Make sure that the FireWire 410 is securely connected to your computer and that all cables are properly plugged in. If the connections are loose or faulty, it can cause problems with the audio output.
- Restart the device: Sometimes, restarting the audio interface can resolve issues with the audio output. To do this, disconnect the FireWire 410 from your computer, wait a few seconds, and then reconnect it.
- Update the drivers: It is possible that the drivers for your FireWire 410 may be out of date or incompatible with your operating system. To update the drivers, visit the M-Audio website and download the latest drivers for your device. Once the drivers are installed, restart your computer and try using the FireWire 410 again.
- Check the settings: Make sure that the FireWire 410 is selected as the default audio device in your operating system's audio settings. You can access these settings by going to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound. Under the Playback and Recording tabs, select the FireWire 410 and click the Set Default button.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it is best to contact M-Audio support for further assistance. They should be able to provide you with specific guidance for troubleshooting the problem with your FireWire 410.
