Seems that your operating system is corrupted and needs to be reloaded.

You are going to need a password remover bootable .iso to burn to a CD or DVD and boot to it and follow the prompts to clear that password if you are running widows. You can also put the image on a USB flash drive if your system supports booting to USB drives? You can find the widows password remover by searching Google and where you find it will probably have instructions on the different methods to remove it. There are a couple methods which you can try:

When the computer first boots Windows you can press F8 to access an advanced boot menu.

From there you can choose to boot the computer in "Safe Mode" which changes the system start-up mode.

There should be a hidden user that appears as "Administrator" that you can select...

(When Windows is installed for the first time there is an option for the "Administrator" password. This password is not required and is usually left blank. If you left the password field blank then clicking on user will log you in automatically. Otherwise, you're required to enter the original password you choose to protect the system.)

Log-in into windows as "Administrator" and create a new user in the control panel that you can log-in to the system normally with.

Restart the computer and log-in under the newly created profile to regain access to your system.



If you can't log-in under your user or the administrator profile because you forgot both passwords you will have to do an advanced recovery process, or wipe the system completely.

If this doesn't work you can boot to an alternative recovery disk, Windows CD/DVD, partitioning software, or third party password recovery tool.

When all else fails, you can delete and create a new partition; then you would have to run the Windows setup again to recover your Operating System and drivers.

willie,if you wan't to reinstall WINDOWS do it from the recovery-partition.then you don't need the dish.let me now if you need help.

Don't you have created the password Recovery disk early?
If you do, you can sign into safe mode and recover the password.
If you don't have the password reset disk. you have to take use of the 3rd party utility,
Windows Password Recovery 6.0 is highly recommend. It is fast and easy to use.

Can you see anything on the monitor?When you were messing around inside the box, you may have accidentally removed the wires from the motherboard that control the power switch and the power light. • Remove all USB attached devices.

that is a good idea to match the memory cards like matching four tires on same carda bit concerned about 'forcing ' them into the slots though

Has the computer recognized the memory card in the past? If so, try download and reinstalling the memory card driver.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Card Reader drivers.
