6 DISC CD Changer in trunk worked yesterday on 2002 mercedes clk430...says no cd changer
If your 6-disc CD changer in the trunk of your 2002 Mercedes CLK430 was working fine yesterday, but is now displaying a "No CD Changer" message, there may be a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check the connections: Make sure the CD changer is properly connected to the car's audio system. Check the connections for any loose or disconnected cables. Also, check the fuse for the CD changer in the car's fuse box.
2. Check for jammed CDs: It is possible that one of the CDs in the changer is jammed, which can cause the error message to appear. Try pressing the eject button to see if any CDs are stuck in the changer. If so, try gently removing them.
3. Check the CD format: Make sure the CDs you are trying to play are in a format that is compatible with the CD changer. The CD changer may not be able to play CDs that are scratched or in a non-standard format.
4. Try resetting the audio system: Try resetting the audio system by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes. This may reset the CD changer and fix any software issues.
If none of these solutions work, there may be a hardware issue with the CD changer. It may need to be repaired or replaced. You can consult a mechanic or audio specialist for further assistance.

We have car audio that requires code, do you know the options how to unlock it?
If your car audio system requires a code to unlock it, there are a few options you can try:
Check the user manual: The user manual for your car audio system may contain information on how to unlock it if a code is required. Look for a section on "security" or "anti-theft" features.
Contact the manufacturer: If you don't have the user manual or can't find the information you need, you can try contacting the manufacturer of the car audio system. They may be able to provide you with the code or instructions on how to unlock it.
Try common codes: Some car audio systems use a default code, such as 0000 or 1234. Try entering these codes to see if they work.
Reset the system: If none of the above options work, you may need to reset the car audio system. This will erase any saved settings and data, including the code. The process for resetting the system will vary depending on the make and model of your car and audio system. Check the user manual or contact the manufacturer for instructions.

Proton D940 stereo receiver. What kind of CD player and cables do I need to hook it up to the car?
The Proton D940 stereo receiver features both analog and digital inputs, so you have a few options when it comes to connecting a CD player to the receiver.
For a digital connection, you will need a CD player with a digital output, such as a coaxial or optical output, and a digital cable to connect the two. Look for a CD player with a digital output labeled "coaxial" or "optical" and purchase a cable that matches the output on the CD player and the input on the receiver.
For an analog connection, you will need a CD player with analog outputs, such as RCA outputs, and an RCA cable to connect the two. Look for a CD player with an analog output labeled "RCA" and purchase an RCA cable with the appropriate connectors to match the CD player and the receiver.
Once you have the CD player and cables, connect the CD player to the Proton D940 stereo receiver using the appropriate input on the back of the receiver. If you are using a digital connection, select the appropriate digital input on the receiver using the input selector button on the front of the receiver. If you are using an analog connection, select the appropriate analog input using the same input selector button.

You can try to hold the right round selector knob to the right for 10 seconds while unit is on asking for code input. That will work to unlock if the previous owner did not set the 4 digit code. Good Luck

How do I reset a TRP am/fm cd player. When i turn it on it says P55 2001
This is an old question but I recently had the same problem. The owners manual says to press and hold the band and preset 1 buttons simultaneously. This did not work for me. I removed the radio from the dash and pulled the fuse on the back of the radio. Replacing it after a few seconds reset the radio.

My pure cd player keeps changing source to AUX. How do I stop this from happening.
If your Pure CD player keeps changing source to AUX, it may be due to a few different reasons. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check the connections: Make sure that the cables connecting your CD player to your speakers or amplifier are securely plugged in. Loose or faulty connections can cause interruptions in the signal and trigger the player to switch to AUX mode.
- Clean the input selector switch: If your CD player has an input selector switch, dust and debris may accumulate over time and cause the switch to malfunction. Clean the switch using a can of compressed air or a soft-bristled brush.
- Check the settings: Some CD players may have settings that automatically switch to AUX mode when no signal is detected from the CD player. Check your user manual to see if your CD player has this feature and how to turn it off.
- Reset the CD player: Turn off your CD player and unplug it from the power source for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on to see if the issue is resolved.
- Contact the manufacturer: If none of the above solutions work, it may be necessary to contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or arrange for a repair or replacement of your CD player if necessary.
Note: Before attempting any maintenance or repair work on your CD player, be sure to read the user manual thoroughly and follow any safety precautions.
