Fisher and paykel oven door
you need to either replace - or get the door hinges replaced, the spring in the hinges has weakened over time, if it is still in warranty, then they should replace them for free, if not, then take the model number to your local f&P dealer and buy new hinges. Remove the door and dismantle the door to gain access to the hinges, undo the 2 screws holding each hinge in place, clean the inside of the glas while apart, reassemble in reverse order.

if this is a gas unit then you should check the ignitor by doing an ampere test on the ignitor most ignitors draw 3-3.3 amps minimum when it drops below this amount it takes alot longer for the flame to light if the ignitor checks out good the next thing you would want to check is the oven tempreture sensor this also can be tested by doing an ohms test at room tempreture this should be reading between 1000-1100 ohms if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped when our chat has concluded thanks Rick
Element for bottom fan forced
You should have 3 wires, the green is the earth. The other two would normally be blue and brown. If you have tried to change the element the missing one may have fallen back in or it could have been burnt off the element terminal and fallen down the back. Anyway you may have to remove the rear of the oven to locate it.

Hello there
Electronic
ovens with a digital display use a sensor to monitor oven temperature.
To solve temperature problems for these models, you may need to replace
the sensor. On some digital-display models, you can calibrate the
temperature using the key pad. See your operator's manual for details.
Ovens
without a digital display often use a mechanical system for controlling
temperature. On many of these units, you can remove the thermostat knob
and adjust the knob itself to more accurately represent the actual
setting of the thermostat.
If,
when you remove the knob, there's a screw on the back of it with a
small calibration plate, you can loosen the screw, adjust the plate,
then tighten the screw again. If the knob isn't adjustable, and the oven
temperature is off by more than 30 to 40 degrees, you need to replace
the thermostat to solve the problem.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. From what
you have described it seems to be the control panel that has gone bad. You can
leave it unplugged for 5-10 minutes and then check if it flashes with an error
code, if not then it seems to be the control panel that needs to be replaced as the power is getting to the unit however, it wont turn on. Please do
accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further
assistance.
Thanks

Not heating in fan forced mode
Possibly your fan element has blown. Try and take the cover off that coves the fan inside the oven itself and use a torch to look at the element to see if it looks out of shape etc.
Rubbing sound-like noise when switching bottom oven on
most likly the fault is the fan blades touching the side of the circular hole,to test.1.switch of all power.2.when power is switched of try switching your oven to on position.if oven will not work then proceed3.if you can turn the fan blades by useing a thin piece of wood or simler.4 if when you turn the blades you hear a rubbing noise you might take a closer look if you have torch point it in if you see the blades touching or one of the blades touching it might be possable to to push the offending blade back very slightley useing the same piece of wood you yoused at 3.if this fails to solve your problem the fan moter might be ready to give up. I hope this can solve your problem.yours adrian.

Oven Fan
my fan took 30 minutes after cooking to turn off. i think it may have to do with the fact that it is trying to cool the oven?
just wait for 30minutes - 1hr to see if it stops and open the oven door all the way to speed up the cooling
