Bosch E13 error on washer

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

E13 error in your Bosch WFMC washer is a drain error and is displayed when the drain time exceeds & the washer is unable to drain so the door won't open sometimes when this error is displayed. You will have to clean the drain trap in the bottom right hand corner. You can stick a straighten paper clip in the access panel located inside the front bottom panel through the whole and then turn the access panel counter clockwise to unscrew the plastic drain cap behind it. After everything is cleaned and the error returns then replacing the drain pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

My washer stopped working all

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or back feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET valve to open up and allow water to flow into. If this does not happen then the voltage at the inlet valve must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the dry spin with the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water from the clothes during the spin.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

The dryer tumbles and seems

be sure and check the outside vent cover,, some have a flap that gets damaged or clogged,, if the machine isn't getting hot during drying you have something else not working correctly since this is a 120V model the element does strain some while heating, But should do the job, if you could reply to this feed and let me know if the heat comes on at all, I could narrow what might be the problem

Hi - when my washing machine spins, it will

yes there is a sensor that's is supposed to shut it down if the laod is too unbalanced, however yours seems to not be working, also, Sounds like one of the hangers are broken or came off. Take off the front or the top depending on what brand you have and check the four hangers that connect the drum to the bottom. You will have two in the back and two in the front. If they came off then simply reconnect, if broken then get the model number of the washer and take it to anappliance repair store so they can get or order the right one.

How do shut off the

I too had this problem and it drove me and my husband crazy! We have the 300 series washer/dryer. You just turn on any cycle on the main dial, and then press both of the Option buttons. A short beep = Off. A long or double beep = On. Try it a couple of times and you will hear the difference.

You can visit the Bosch website, go under service locator, enter your zip and get an 800 number. They will walk you through it on the phone, which is what I finally did.

How do I replace glass bowl on a Bosch wfmc2201

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I'll start by saying your post indicates it is a Bosch Nexxt 300 washer wfmc2201 that you would like to "replace glass bowl".

I don't know what research you've done to bring you to the place you are now, but hopefully I'm not the first to tell you. If you are referring to either the glass inside the door or the plexi-glass outside the door, that comes as all one component.

The Bosch part # 249080 is available at several retail locations online such as "repairclinic.com" "searspartsdirect.com" to name a couple.

Unfortunately this has always been the case with Bosch/Siemens built full size laundry products when it comes to the door components (at least in the time I've been working on them, 15+ years)
Let me know if I can provide help in any other manner and I'll be glad to assist you going forward in any way I can.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

If you are saying that it doesn't go into the spin cycle (but the drum turns in other settings) then I would suspect the control board - Item 333

You can check the inlet valves with either an o'scope or a multimeter. Unfortunately, the control module PN: 661081 controls the voltage to the inlet valves and costs around $240.

Sorry, to give you the bad news.

What can i do if my washer won't open?

Hi,

**Please shut off your breaker at the service panel before attempting to perform any service I suggest to you **

On you washer you`ll see a small round plastic door on the right hand side near the bottom. This door can be opened with a small screwdriver (you should see a tiny hole in this cover) insert the driver it into the turn-hole and twist/turn counter-clockwise. Be careful, the edges are very sharp once this little door/cover comes off.
Once removed you`ll first see the drain pump, you might want to unscrew the insert/filter to drain the unit now if there is water present in the basket. You can reach in and there will be a manual release pull string, it should be attached to the pump, but if not feel around. Pull it and the door will release.

Hope you found my solution helpful. If so, please take a second and rate the solution you received from me here at fixya.

Good luck

Error code 13 to much soap in machine

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

The E13 error code on most series Bosch washer`s refer to a drainage problem, as you may or may not already know. ( or in Bosch terms "pump time exceeded" )

Anyway, here`s the most likely way to remedy a E13 code.

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**

Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. If the machine drained, it won't be too bad. If your machine is stuck full of water, that sucks...hopefully you won't get too wet. ( maybe you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain )
  1. Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner) macmarkus_26.jpg
  2. Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.
macmarkus_30.jpg
3. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges are very sharp so be careful).

4. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand. ( you should also see a red ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan )

There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out

5. Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap. Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated the error code.macmarkus_28.jpg

macmarkus_29.jpg
6. After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.

7. Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access door off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.

Ultimately you may have a faulty drain pump, but I would certainly start by performing the things I listed first.

Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Thank you for coming to "FixYa" and good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

I have an error 13

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I'm presuming that is the actual filter itself. Had the same problem with our Bosch, cap would not even turn!
Suggestions-
pour anticalc/limescale fluid into any gap there is around the cap. Empty the machine and you can switch it off providing the door is open! Then pour the contents of at least 2 sachets of proprietary anticalc powder/liquid into the drum direct together with a kettle full of boiling water. Leave overnight at the very least. The following day run just a spin cycle as then there will be no water diluting the mix. This mix will go through the filter and motor and is likely to help release the filter/cap. If you feel like it, do the overnight again. If nothing else it will ensure that the heater element is clean!
I had to spend a couple of hours gently turning the cap back and forth until it finally released its hold- but the filter did not remain attached to the cap by its rubber ring. More patience, anticalc fluid and all was revealed!
I now run an anticalc clean regularly............which reminds me..............!
Good luck
