We have lost our wireless
Base from the description of your problem it seems that the issue here is not with your Netopia wireless adapter but with your 2wire wireless router, because the 2wire is the one responsible to broadcast the wireless signal so your Netopia can pick it up.
So what you can do here is to reset the 2wire router by pressing the reset button of it its a small hole there , then you will need to reconfigure that and it will be better if you do that with the ATT people so they can tell you how to reconfigure the router.
I AM ATTEMPTING TO SET
It should be a wireless adapter that you plug into a USB port. It's only needed if your computer doesn't have built-in wireless capabilities. If you plug it in and your system asks for a driver it should be on the CD that came with the unit.

- Yes, you'll need a to install the driver for Netopia. You need a software to install it and to make it work. Here is a link on where you can download the driver :

- If this was given to you together with a self-install cd just use that. Its easier.

YES IS RIGHT THE ADAPTER IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR OSAND IT MEANS THAT THE DRIVER IS NOT FOR WIN7.BUT I WONDER IF YOUS PC HAD AN INTEGRATE WIRELESS CARD.TRY TO FIND IT.GO TO MY COMPUTER RIGHT CLICK AND SELECT MANAGE THE IN THE NEXT SCREEN CLICK ON DEVICE MANAGER AND LOOK FOR NETWORK ADAPTER.THE WIRELESS NTE-ADAPTER SHOULD BE THERE AS WIRELESS ADAPTER AND ALSO THE ETHERNET ADAPTER.
