When water fills up it will not agitate
This is a typical problem. What you have is a broken lid switch. This is either located on the door way of the washer or under the control panel. Not a difficult thing to change.
Leak on bottom of washer
check the water inlet valve. Thats the part the hoses connect to. You will need to take apart to acess
Washing machine only fills half way on large
that usually would be your pressure switch and or the dome at your tub is plugged. take the consol off to the left side you will see a component with a hose attached to it take the hose off the pressure switch and blow through it with the tub empty...is it clear can you blow through it? if yes then your dome is clear. replace the pressure switch and this should solve you problem. sometimes i blow through the pressure switch too and sometimes this fixes that problem.

Amana Washer LWA50AW doesn't spin
Ifi t does not spin it may be the timer. Try it in the delicate cycle to see what happens. Actually try all teh cycles to see if it spins in one of them. IF so it most likely is the time and is a 15minute job to replace.
SOAP NOT RINSING OUT OF FINAL RINSE. CHECKED DRAIN
sounds like a case of over soaping especially if your water is soft. this is usually a front loader problem but..
Epsom salts added to the final rinse usually does the trick as it breaks down the oxygen loaded foam.
Very common problem in Launderettes.
Machine fills up only half way....water eners very
Try removing each inlet hose in turn and check for water flow from each hose. If seem slow, try reversing that hose to back-flow the inlet filter screen which should remove loose debris, but won't affect any hard water deposits (soak the screen end in white vinegar and hot water for an hour or so). If both hoses flow well, check the entry holes in the machine for plugged screens. If all else fails, replace the twin inlet solenoids. Hope this helps!
HOW HARD IS IT TO REPLACE THE BELT ON A AMANA
that belt replacement requires some effort but you can do it with a little patience. then you will have your reward plus your washer will be fixed. you'll need a torx head screw driver ( if u don't have one they sell them at the hardware store) and a 1/2 inch socket. it requires removing motor pump assembly from washer and then removing pump from motor. it will take you a while. it's not as hard as it looks. good luck.
I changed the belt on
this should be a normal operation for this machine.the tub should be turning counter clockwise from the agitator.and as long as it completes the cycle your machine isfine.
