The dryer stopped working for my hwd1000 --

Check your belt. It may be shot. And that will cause your machine to do that. The heat will still work but your clothes will not dry.

Washer dryer makes a clankikng nouise when it runs, in all cycles, washing and drying. especially loud during spinning.

It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

I keep getting error code u04 when i try to use my machine...what does it mean

Error U04 means the door is open.Put your knee against the door handle and press it against the handle until you hear a click. The machine should start filling within a minute. This is a problem I had start occurring about a month after I started using the machine. You will soon do this for every load, a minor annoyance on a cheap machine. I hope this helps, and remeber leave some testimonial comment. Have a nice day and thank you for using Fixya.

Hwd-c1000txveme-u error code 8

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
The only reference to 'E08' I have is that there is a problem 'water level exceeds protection value'. Water level detection may not be operating correctly and requires a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(
If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Haier washing machine ; when

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

(no promises but it's worth carrying this out anyway!)

I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

What do I use to replace mircowave inner door

The bulk of the material used to make a microwave is steel, and not thermosetting plastic. The cavity (the cooking space) is a metal "cave" with a door on it. There will be some components in an oven that are made of thermosetting plastic, but the bulk of the construction material is mild steel. Steel "seals in" microwave energy. Microwaves can pass through most thermosetting plastic. And that would be bad.
I would replace the whole door to be safe.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Manual first- for you later!
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount. During the process you will be asked for the actual model number!
Now smell-
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter.

Keeps saying error 2 , i have checked the filter

I have ef error code on dryer. what is this?

This machine has a weight detector - the load could be too heavy or the filter clogged.
If it's a condenser dryer then it can also collect water and that could be full. - Ray

My Haier HWD 1000

There is a button and debris trap on the front bottom right of machine.

Little door says push. Open it and undo the large screw plug.

Remove debis if any. Screw the plug closed until it is very tight.

Check for leaks on next wash cycle.

(Also check intake hose connections at back of machine.)

I have really bad smells coming from the filter

A few tablespoons of vinegar in the middle (fabric softener) compartment of the soaps drawer every few loads should help with any smells.

You could add some diluted bleach to the soap and fabric softener compartments and wash something you don't mind getting bleached. It should kill off any mould or mildew that may have build up in the nooks and crannies. Open the button trap door and clean it out as well (front lower right corner - says push and has a large screw plug inside. Close really tightly after or it will leak)

Error 4 ON HAIER WASHING MACHINE.

Error U04 means the door is open.

Error EC4 refers to the temperature of the air vent.
Within 30 minutes of dry cycle there is 5 minutes in which the temperature is not increasing.

Ask the technician to
repair it.

Alternatively make a custom cycle with no drying cycle and hang dry the laundry. I usually do this myself as opposed to listening to it groan for 2-3 hours.
