We have an old model

you cant answer numerous calls on this system - you will need to set up a dial in number on a phone bridge provider and have all participants call into that number and then all of you will be in same conference call. this is best quality and the most managable way to do this. i am sure your phone provider can help you set this up. R if i remember correctly is for redial

We have an old polycom

It would depend on if this is going through the phone system, or just a phone line all by itself.

If on the phone system, there should be a conference button, that is like a "flash" button on your home phone.....

Comcast Cable Modem with Polycom Soundstation Premier

Try adjusting the ringer volume, dial tone volume, and speaker volume. Make sure that the ringer type selection is not set to off. Also make sure that you are not bridging your call.

You can also use the Upgrade feature built into the phone to look for updates which may resolve your issue.

If this has only started happening recently, Restore the default settings and see if it resolves your issue.

Plastic crimps on ends of lines are broken.

If you are talking about the plug that would go in to the wall jack, you can have them reapired or do it yourself. (requires a special tool {~5-10 bux or so} and the appropriate plugs.)

As long as the individual wires inside the cable are labeled, you should be able to get it repaired on your own.

The crimper tool and plugs can be found at most major hardware or electronics stores.

If this is a cable that completely detaches from the phone, you may want to just buy a new cable.

Polycom 2201-03309-001

The older Polycom SoundStations have power supplies that allow either anaog or digital signals. The phones themselves will work on either.

If your office phone systems are different, or if the extension it was originally plugged into was configured for analog and you are now plugging into digital would explain the problem.

hello This is not a dialing but trying to connect to the IP address setup in the system. Start editing the IP address giving the one that you would have already allocated to the device in the Router (i.e. 192.168.1.99) and then reboot it. It should connect then automatically. Best regards

Upgrade failed

The easiest way to fix this is to have use TFTPD32 and set the firmware in the default directory so that when the phone boots it gets its DHCP with Option 66 from the machine running TFTPD32 and automatically pulls the firmware
