We are unable to use a baby monitor and WIFI at the same time, how can we change the frequency

Unfortunately in electronics frequencies often interfere. As for a solution, check inside the baby moniter usually in battery compartment for a switch. Another solution is to change the routers settings from 802.11n to 802.11b/g this will however reduce speed. Hope this helps

Reset

RESET WIRELESS ROUTERIf you cannot access the router with the default password,or even the one you created, then most routers will have a small button (hole)that will restore the router back to the default settings.Every manufacturer's router is different, so a user Manualwill often be required in locating the specific settings you need to change.Go to the 3Com WEB site for details on resetting your router.

Sometimes i cant find any network

To connectyour computer to a wireless router, you click the Refresh networklist, then Choose your wireless network and then click Connectto your secured Wireless Network, it will asks for a Network Keybefore allowing you to connect into your wireless network. This NetworkKey is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is used toconfigure the Wireless Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way tosetup the Encryption key. When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrasethat was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router.http://www.fixya.com/support/r5270415-network_password_network_addressFor information on securing your wireless network, configuring the wireless router and configuring the wireless card in thelaptop/computer, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

My 3COM 3CRWE454G72 cant work anymore after

Hi, I think you may have to buy a new unit.It is essential that a firmware update completes uninterrupted as it is modifying the unit's operating system. This applies to anything, not just routers. If the update does not compelete then the operating system is not complete and the unit will not work any more.

I have a 3com router.

I would be very suprised if there isn't a reset button, I've never seen a router without one. It would be in a little hole just big enough for a pencil point to go in.
However, are you sure you want to reset it, as that would stop it connecting to the internet?
If you just want to turn off the wifi password (which is what it sounds like you want to do) then you have to access the router's internal set-up routine which is normally done through your web-browser.
Enter the IP address of your router into the brower address line - it will start with 192.168. and will end with either 0.1 or 1.1 or 1.254
You will generally come up against a gatekeeper page that asks for the username and password. Unless they have been changed these are usually admin and password or admin and admin. ,
Once past that you get access to the set-up pages. Locate the WLAN section and turn off the security. make sure you hit any Apply buttons before you exit the pages.
That should be it.
post back to let us know if that worked.

I cant get the UI

Ist, is a new out of the box router? Next, if so are you trying to connect wireless or through Ethernet? If new, connect with the Ethernet cable and open command prompt. (Start/programs/accessories/commandprompt) When page opens(will be black screen), just start typing, no spaces, ipconfig and hit enter. This will give you your default gateway and your IP Address. Write Default gateway down,Ie, 10.0.0.1, type exit into command prompt and press inter. Page will close. Next open your browser and type in the ip address to see if you can hit the router and access it. Hope this gets you what you needed.

Have lost my 3COM network key number

Hello, welcome to fixya.

If by lost your "network key number" you mean the WEP or WPA key that you setup from the router's settings and you use to connect everytime to that wireless router then I would suggest to push the "reset" button on the device (A small pinhole button usually located in the back or bottom of the device).

Doing this, will reset your wireless device to initial factory settings and so you will know the standard WEP key by then. It is written on a sticker on the device along with the SSID,administration console IP/password and MAC address of the router.
NOTE: Resetting factory settings on your router will cause all settings to dissapear (ports forwarded etc.)and will have to be done from the beginning.

Im pretty sure this will fix this type of problem 98% of the time (unless the nature of the problem is different).

Kind Regards from FixYa.

**Please don't forget to vote my solution when you are finished**

Thanks.

I have forgotten my password

Not quite clear as to your problem. Are you trying to access the web-based configuration page for the router (for which you need an administrator password)? Or are you trying to make a wireless connection to the Internet via the router (for which you need the wireless security key)?

Those are two separate passwords, and you may be able to retrieve them both. The administrator password would be stored in the computer that was used to configure the router. The security key should be in the computer which configured the router, as well as any computer which made a wireless connection to the router.

You may find it helpful to check the owner's manual. (If you don't have that, you may be able to find a copy online and download - be sure to search for the correct model.)

If you can access the web-based configuration page for your router, you should be able to view (or reset) the wireless security key. (Check the owner's manual for your model.)

If you're not able access the router's configuration page, and the passwords are stored, you should still be able to retrieve them by installing some free software.

For the computer that configured the router, download and install this program:

For a laptop that connected to the router, download and install this program:

Hi all and thanks in advance. I have a

First of all, WEP encryption is almost useless. It is almost the same as if you are not using encryption at all, as it is very easy to break.
I recommend that you check on the manufacturer's web site if they have a newer version of firmware that supports WPA 2 or at least WPA. If you find one, then upgrade the firmware of your wireless router, but do this using a computer directly attached to the Ethernet port of the router rather than over a wireless connection. Wireless connections are subject to various disruptions, which might cause the firmware upgrade to fail. A failed firmware upgrade could render your wireless router unusable.

Feel free to let me know in case you need any further assistance.
