Can i use 3com to sent message to my yahoo mail
No, the router is a device that routes data within a network. It is not designed a email client.
Your email client that is ( yahoo, gmail etc. ) if for sending and receiving emails. Your pc is designed with the Outlook and Outlook express and or Windows live to do this.

How do i change from having a wire to the modem to
Hello,
Thank you for using Fixya!
In order to go wireless you need to know if you model has wireless capability (ask your Internet provider or from who you purchase the modem). If the modem does not have that capability then get a wireless access point or wireless router (I suggest a wireless router so you can have multiple computer connected to the internet). There are lots of brands out there namely, Linksys, Netgear, D-link or Belkin.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely,

New Laptop will not connect with wireless
try setting it on wep with 128bit encryption.. the new certificate programs doesnt do well with out it and aswell as it doesnt perform well on wap settings so a user-certificate based authentication would be optimal for the windows 7 and most secure aswell youtube, google, and your routers websites will help you get a firm understanding of how it works

If sync LED is not on it can ONLY mean that there's a problem with the internet infrastructure at your place!
First, make sure you have microfilters connected to all phone points in your place. It reduces the "noise" on the phone cables, which - if not reduced, can make sync problems!
If you already have these microfilters connected, contact TEdata tech. support to determine what is the exact problem. In some cases, reconfiguring some stuff at their center (by them of course) solve it all!
Hope I helped,
Pelu.

I can't find the pin-code located on the router to make a pass
Are you trying to connect to the wireless network on the windows VISTA / 7 computer?
Sometimes it will ask you for PIN number. you don't need to enter the PIN number.
On the same page you will get the option, I don't want to configure, i want to enter the key.
click on it and it will go to the next step. if you network is secured then it will ask you for the network key.
Enter the key and it will connect you to the network.
If you are trying to add any other wireless device in the network then try to bypass this step and connect to the network manually.

Lightning may have damaged the router and / or the telephone line. Check the line for a dial tone by connecting it to a standard phone. If no dial tone, call your telecoms provider to restore the line. If there is a dial tone, expect the worst for your router. This happened to me a couple of weeks ago and it cost me a new router. I have since put the line through a surge protector.

Reset the 3Com OfficeConnect Wireless
To reset the router to its default settings follow this steps:
1 Remove power from the Router.
2 Disconnect all your computers and the cable/DSL modem from the
Router.
3 Using a straight through Ethernet cable, connect the Ethernet Cable/DSL
port on the rear of the Router to any one of the LAN ports.
4 Re-apply power to the Router. The Alert LED will flash as the Router starts
up, and after approximately 30 seconds will start to flash more slowly
(typically 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off). Once the Alert LED has started to
flash slowly, remove power from the Router.
5 Remove the cable connecting the Cable/DSL port to the LAN port, and
reconnect one of your computers to one of the Router LAN ports.
