Try to uninstall all components from nuendo and reinstall them. Mostly this is the remedy.

Looks like you may have to run your windows 7 in XP mode to get this working. Nuendo 4 seems to have latest windows compatibility. However, it would worth checking whether the latest version they say is vista or windows 7.

are you using a external soundcard,because the soundcard on the computer or laptop arent made to handle so much cpu usage
