Resolder the pins on the flyback. That should solve the issue.

Try to clean the lenses and make sure the convergence is setup right. It should fix your problems. Good luck

These might look like yours,




If at first the fuse FL231 is good ( pink arrow , inside the yellow circle )
It is at the center of the three same looking component






then it could be caused on the board above ( green arrow )

It is composed of transistors , resistors and capacitors.


Although, If ever the center fuse is open ( meaning no resistance )

you may need to RE-solder the flyback transformer pins.After

replacing the fuse.

On that same board, towards the front in the middle you will see a electrolytic cap behind a heat sink with a value of 2200mfd. It may be bulged----replace it.

There should be an HDMI plug in the back of the TV.That is where to plug it .If you don't have that cable then you could use the red green and blue component plugs instead

while the tv is on and playing unplug it and wait 60 seconds and plug it back in the sound will return

Your convergence ICs or convergence board is bad. More than likely it is the convergence ICs. About a $100 fix from a reputable repair shop. Hope this helps. If you need more info let me know.

If you are checking the caps in the deflection board also check under on the pc side for loose solder connections, more than likely that is what you are going to find, check around the flyback and the connectors around the board.

Replace 3 capacitors on Deflection board its the bottom left hand side cp150 200uf 16v use 25v capacitor and cp114 cp120 in same circuit 220uf 35v. You will see cap cp150 if it is puffed up on top they are Bad. Call Mats Electronis 1-800-628-1118 Radio shack might have capacitors.

yes but you take very carfull because the optics calibration, and you can order on your major electronics store a spare. if is very confusing do-it, better go to the repair shop to help you.

It ur convergence it dead,the IC have it shorted,resistor don't control alignment only help.

Bad Fuse FL231 will be on deflection board bottom board to the left and are on the right side of FBT flyback transfomer, thier is 3 fuses in a roll but look like small brown rectrangler caps it will be the one in the middle Go to menu then setup if you do not see convergence it is the FUSE!!

How bad? IS the picture bowed in on top and bottom? this is a indication of convergence problem withhout knowing anthing else i suggest reading the "fl231 problem in tips and trick section of this website that might be a start

According to RCA this set only has a digital receiver for the antenna. The cable input doesn't have a digital receiver.
