Why won't green timer light quit blinking?

Read Owner's Manual. Usually blinks when shutting down and waiting for fans to cool lamp below set temperature, then turns OFF. Takes several minutes. Regards.

How can you tell if the hdmi ports are bad on your tv ( a cable guy said there was bad)

Connect a good HDMI device to the HDMI port on your TV. Make sure the TV HDMI port is selected using your TV remote. Turn ON the HDMI device. If the port is working, the TV and HDMI device will establish a connection and the screen should show some kind of menu display for the device. Regards.

I have replaced the dpl chip and now the picture has black and white verticle lines. Is it the color ribbon now?

It means that some of DLP connections are either misaligned, or have failed to make a connection. Reheat the connections to try correct this or re-align the DLP chip. This ususally is a nightmare! Regards.

I have a Mitsubishi 65" dlp TV and the picture is green and yellow with no reds or magenta's so would that mean i need a new bulb or does it have something to do with the color wheel

It means that the color wheel or it's encoder is not properly syncing with the controller. It is therefore blanking the DLP chip on the red and blue sections of the color wheel. Clean the color wheel motor and encoder disk, lubricate the motor. This should correct the problem. There may be dirt in the opto-coupler that is reading the color wheel. Be sure to clean it with a vacuum and small brush. Regards.

On my Mitsubishi WD-82840 DLP TV for the first hour of operation I'm seeing green pixelations in the darkest sections of the image displaying on the TV.

May mean the DLP chip is either not getting the proper level of black signal until the controller board has warmed up, or the DLP chip itself is not completely responding to the controller signals. After thoroughly warming up the problem goes away. This is a sign of aging of the parts. Diagnosing and correcting that type of problem is a challenge. Regards.

I have updated my WD60C9 after changing both the lamp and circuit board. Why does my TV Power off after a min

Sounds like cooling fan is not supplying enough air to the lamp. When it gets too warm, the controller will perform a safety shut-down. Clean and lubricate both of the cooling fans. One is a squirrel cage type and the other is a pancake type. Make sure the filters are clean and all dust is vacuumed from the lamp chamber. Make sure both fans turn easily. Regards.

Model WD-65734. Why is there no picture?

Never heard of a color wheel needing to be replaced. Both cooling fans need to be clean and turn easily. Color wheel fan needs to turn easily. If any one of these motors does not turn, the controller will cause a shut-down. The Xenon lamp uses high voltage to operate. If the power supply was damaged, the lamp won't light. The sparking on the ballast board indicates that dirt or dust may be causing the problem. Also, the clamping diodes and regulator may be defective. If possible, try replacing the lamp power board. Regards.

Fan stays on when tv is off

Not uncommon for the fan to stay on for a few minutes after the set is turned off. It is designed that way and then supposed to shut down after a few minutes. If it does not then that circuit is defective. U can always throw a switch in series with the fan and shut fan off after you turn set off. Or if you wanna be fancy you can rig up a relay setup that will turn the fan on/off as you do with the tv.

Tv comes on for a few seconds then starts to blink on screen then cuts off with red light on stays on

Hi Kenny
Being a projection device... Which most TV's aren't ...
You need to break the fault down into the Projection Section or the TV Section.
Or Power Supply Section
Projector bulb blown, overheating etc.
Power supply sensing overload or fault then automatically shutting down.
TV Section may be OK
small internal LCD screen is projected by lens.
Check internals.
Happy Troubleshooting

My Mitsubishi Projection TV Model WD-62525 screen has pinkish lines running through the screen. The lamp has been replaced. What could it be?

not the lamp. Its a known issue with the power supply. Bad capacitors usually. this requires a servicer to repair it.

Ballast to lamp connection cable melted on one side

The Ballast plug melted due to age of the TV. as the plastic gets old it gets brittle and can crack with barely any force. The pins then do not seat and the arc that should be in the lamp takes place in the connector. I have seen this so many times. fortunately it is very easy to replace the connector is you know how to use wire crimps and can source an old female plug. eBay is a good source. you can buy a used ballast from any model that has the same connector. Then cut off the new plug and splice it onto your old wires with but-crimps and shrink tubing.

Replacing uhp lamp and remove ballast with Xenon lamp and 55W ballast!

You are going to ruin the optics using a Xenon lamp. The ballast in the TV talks back via UART to the CPU. By removing the ballast the TV cannot talk to it and run itself properly. Also using a xenon lamp will give terrible color reproduction as its not putting out nearly enough lumens in the right spectrum. It will also bombard the color wheel and DLP chip with UV light and ruin those as well.
