put aluminum foil around lid and press onto pot this will help it make tight fit

if you put something frozen or cold in it and let set for awhile without turning on then you must take it out let unit get room temp. then start it . E01 error means the unit is too cold to start.

NO, these stoneware inserts are not meant for the high dry heat of conventional ovens. It will crack in the oven...use only in the crockpot!

seems rather plausible, however wouldn't it be best to visit the company website - and -- or download an owners manual for this particular unit just to be certain?

West Bend no longer carries the replacement lid. The only part that they carry for this model is the crock itself.

Your best bet is to keep an eye on eBay for the item. Often there are parts available. I have just looked using your model number, however, it could be the the lid is not marked, which makes the task a little harder. You can however scan through "oval crockpot lids" and see if you can find your lid. I have just looked that way also and do not see anything that would be your lid. another good source for this type of part is a secondhand store. Good luck!
