IWL16 mildew or black specks on clothers
could just need a good clean. these machines remove dirt from clothes very well, but it can build up on the inside of the outer. disconnect power, remove top (two screws under covers under lid), remove top bowl ring (8 clips) remove agitator (1 screw deep inside) remove inner bowl. scrub it. also trying a hot wash with some cleaning product to flush the machine every couple months can stop this happening in the future.
IWL16 leaves black specs on clothes
there could be something stuck in the machine between the two bowls. lifting the lid, removing the ring, agitator and inner bowl will easily check this. if the machine has become loud on spin, and the leak is actually from the bottom (more likely) then it could need seals and bearings replaced. don't run it too much more while leaking, electricity and water don't mix XD

Have you tried reverse flushing the drain hose?
If you can get the outlet/drain hose to the washtub cold tapwrap a towel around the hose and tap to stop water going everywhere whilst slowly turning up the water pressurefrom the tap.
(Any leaks STOP and check your hose clamps/connections are all tight.) Water should now be flowing into the machine bowl, and hopefully turned the pump, and cleared any blockages.Hope it helps

The Electronic Master Panel PCB in these types of machines have a habit of eventually either playing up or failing completely. Even if the lights come on, there is a great deal of circuitry inside the panel in which certain components are prone to eventual failure at any given time. The most usual remedy is to replace the Master Control Panel electronics circuit board. This should only be carried out by someone proficient to do so. Not only that, if there is any problem after installing a new pcb (printed circuit board) it will be covered by some kind of warranty if fitted by a person who in the eyes of the machine manufacturer is qualified to do so.Replacing the pcb is sometimes a fairly costly thing, and many people simply opt to replace the machine. In (my) good old days, machines with Timers were much simpler and cheaper to repair. Exchange Timers used to cost around $30 at trade price. Doah!

Hi just read your posting There are 2 reasons why your machine wont power up and they are 1---you control module is faulty or your drain pump is open circuit. What concerns me is the fact you have a leak from the bottom.Has your machine been noisy on spin? The water could have been coming from the main seal and possibly damaged your position sensor or motor.Either way you will have to replace the control board or pump. Please reply for further assistance and to let me know how you got on when the service tech looks at your machine.Looking forward to your reply.
How do u replace the agitator on a fisher &
Disconnect power then lift the lid open. Pry the dispenser assembly off the agitator top then remove the agitator bolt by turning it counterclockwise. Once the bolt is off, lift the agitator then install the new agitator in place. Secure it with the agitator bolt then put the dispenser assembly back into position. Lifting the basket helps budge the agitator and remove it more easily.
