No power when plugged in ? Is there a fuse ?

The best way to find out is remove the base of the deck. You should see the power supply then. If the deck is main's powered the transformer will be seen. Some have fuses built into them, so it needs checking. Some decks use a mechanical switch to turn on the motor. That can break or stop engaging. But this will only apply if the deck doesn't have a power light indication. A deck with an on off switch for the power can also suffer a broken switch.

Why is there no music being transmitted from turntable to sound system?

If the amps connected to the deck have no dedicated "phono" socket / setting you will only hear weak sound. However you can get a magnetic cartridge pre-amp. This connects between the turntable and amp and makes the signal the same level as what would come off say a tape recorder.

The belt on my turn table came lose

01- Remove the rubber cushion.
02- Remove the Turntable Platter
03- Place your drive belt around the ridge inside the platter
(Make sure that it is not twisted)
04-Place your Turntable Platter back on the unit
05-rotate your platter until you can see a brass knob through one of the round holes in the turntable. (Your belt must be placed around the brass knob) The best way is to take a toothpick and carefully slide it under the drive belt and then pull it out enough that you can place it around the knob. I had the same problem and the above works. If you still have problems getting it back on contact me 352-377-1828......

Need a new belt

Measure the old belt, make certain you know how it fits before removing. You need the diameter and width in MM. You don't need to be spot on with these! Put the results with the words "Turntable belt XXmm by XXmm" into Google.

Turntable won,t run when pluged

Sounds to me like the bellt has slipped off. To replace, lift the platter off the table. On the inside of the platter you will notice a second ring, or rim. the belt should be put on the outside of the second rim while the platter is still in your hands. Next, slide back the platter and look for the spindle running the platter through one of the big holes in the platter. Slip the belt onto the spindle and turn with your hand to make sure it runs freely. Hope this helpsmicmor100.jpg

Hi, the belt on our Teac Turntable has come off

If you open the top lid of your turntable, you will see a black rubber disc that sits on the pladder, it should come off revealing the metal pladder, you should see holes that will show your belt and the turntable motor when pladder is rotated. In order to put the belt back on you must remove the pladder, but before you do check to see if there is a C clip holding it down, after removing the clip the pladder should come off, put the belt on the inner rim of the pladder, now slowly work the pladder on the spindle make sure one of the pladder holes allows you to see the motor, put a small blunt object between the belt and the inner pladder and use it to stretch the belt to slip over motor then push the pladder down and rotate it making sure the belt is turning with the motor, next replace the rubber disc and finally the C clip if it is present.

The dc drive motor died

Clearly if happend twice then there is a problem with the power supply that feeds it. I would check that it's producing the right voltage with a meter before ordering a replacement.

My teac p-595 turntable has a grounding wire that

The ground wire should be attached to the metal chassis or the tone arm metal assembly, the other end should be attached to the metal chassis of the amplifier. If the ground wire is not used, you will get real loud hum through the amplifier.
