No need to plug into the back jacks on the TV or change the out put of the tv audio source to the Front jacks

The AR AW721 headphones require 3 AAA NiMH batteries, not Ni-Cad. The original batteries are 1.2 volt, 550 mAh. I replaced mine with Energizer 850 mAh AAA batteries, which work well and actually last longer per charge than the originals.

I hope this one is not kept too long idle and without charge. Check on the points and the connections and try again maybe put it on for sometime to enable time for triggering any low voltage stage from where it has to recoup. Hope this will help

I purchased an AW 771 set in "as is" condition which on arrival produced output only from one side. Repair was effected by removing 8 phillips screws, 4 from each side, concealed under the ear-surrounding doughtnut-shaped cushions. To expose those screws, the ear cushions must be pushed from their center toward the outside. Black screws in back holes surrounded by black acoustically-transparent cloth does not make them obvious.

I used a volt-ohm meter to find a discontinuity at a failed solder connection. Resoldered that connection, rechecked electrical continuity to be certain all connections were good. Tested with batteries installed using an audio input. Both sides produced sound. Replaced screws and they have performed very well since then.

After connecting all cables.... try channel 1 at the receiver... then move tuner up and down until the green light on the left headphone lights up and you can hear whatever you are listening to. If channel 1 doesnt work, try 2 and 3...... mine is set on CH3.

DC 12v adapters are common and I think that would work. The similar "Powered Partner" speakers used a 14v DC adapter. Just check the size of the plug and the configuration (center pin is +). Radio Shack and other sellers have universal adapters.

you have only one? or one pair? this standing speaker need a Amp to drive.

Not recommended, market you can find spray type contact cleaner. Brasso is oil base may worsen your problem. Better solution is replace the part.
