Ive used the picture control to get the redness out but its still really red what can i do
Check the video output section circuit board for any loose solder joints. This board can be located at the neck of the picture tube, plugged directly to it at its back. It is best to re-solder all the suspected solder joint there, by applying little more solder, without making any solder bridge short in between adjacent solder terminals, as it will be very difficult to locate loose solder terminals, as they might be microscopically small.

Control remote lg for my Sylvania CD202SL8 TV
If I understand correctly you are using a LG remote for the Sylvania Combo set?None of these companies make those units--someone else does and puts the name on the unit----Sylvania uses different remote codes on every model (they are actually Phillips). Most programable remotes will get you basic functions BUT WILL BE MISSING KEY FEATURES YOU WILL NEED.You need the original remote---GOOGLE FOR A EXACT REPLACEMENT if the original is damaged or lost."Universal remotes" are hardly universal as you have discovered.

My TV is blurry. I
after 4 or 5 yrs EHT ( transformer that supplies voltage to CRT TUBE - TV TUBE ) becomes weak - then 1 of the indication is ....picture becomes dull...blurr... (less brightness & less contrast , no clarity ) ........so solution is EHT ( also called as flyback transformer ) should be replaced....... {{ few details about EHT---- its size will be around 3inch X 2inch X 2inch ---it will have 2 or 3 knobs to adjust focus , brightness ------ at bottom around 10 pins will be there ------- from EHT 1 thick red colour cable goes to CRT TUBE --------- on EHT its part number will be there }} -------- so if user is a technical person having idea about components ( resistors, transistors, diodes, etc ) , having tools like multimeter ( to check components) , soldering iron, soldering lead, flux, desoldering wig ( for removing components), etc also little experience in servicing field( compulsory) ----------------- then user can remove EHT from main board ---- take to electronic shop ----- buy same type EHT --------- fix to mainboard ( knobs on EHT should be adjusted according to picture after switching TV --- this adjustment is very important ) ---------- iam from bangalore ----- here EHT's price will be around Rs 250 ( US $ 6 ) & for my customers (in bangalore) i will take another Rs 500 (US $ 11) as service charge......i don't have any idea about EHT ' s price & service charge in your place.........since it is very risky job i suggest to contact good TV service engineer ------- because they are highly experienced & can fix this component very easily ( or if any of your friend who is in servicing line can do this ) - 100% GUARANTEE again your TV works normally - GUARANTEE

I have an old Sylvania tv and it won't turn on
Here are some troubleshooting tips to try. However, as it is an older set, if these tips fail, the cost of a repair at a shop might exceed the value of the TV. In short, a new TV may be in the works. Cross your fingers. One of these tips may work.
Let's troubleshoot the issue and try to get it working:
If you are using a remote, check the batteries in it. If you are using several remotes with it, try the alternative remote. Sometimes there is a glitch affecting the remote for a Roku where it won't turn on the TV other than a powered black screen and you have to use the other remote to turn it off and back on and then the Roku screen pops up. I have not sorted out why.
Check Power Cord and Connections:
First, ensure that the power cord is securely plugged into both the TV and the electrical outlet.
If you suspect a faulty power cord, consider trying a different one.
Reset the TV:
While most Sylvania TVs don't have a dedicated reset button, you can perform a manual reset:
Unplug the TV's AC adapter from the electrical socket.
Press and hold the Power button on the TV for 20 seconds.
Plug the AC adapter back in and turn on the TV.
Check Audio/Video Cables:
Inspect the audio/video cables connecting your TV to the satellite or cable receiver.
Ensure that the color-coded prongs match their respective connecting points.
Correct any mismatches (e.g., white cable into a red port) by reorganizing the prongs.
Inspect Coaxial Cable:
Look for the coaxial cable on the rear side of the receiver, attached to the port labeled as ANT IN.
Confirm that the connection is firm; a loose coaxial connection can cause display issues.
Tighten the cable by pinching the silver band on the end and rotating it clockwise until secure.
Check for Interference:
If distortion continues on the TV screen, consider nearby interference.
Power-hungry appliances can cause electronic interference, affecting display quality.
Visit a Repair Shop:
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, you may need professional help.
Some technical faults, such as a blown fuse or faulty capacitor, require expertise in dismantling and soldering.
If uncomfortable with such tasks, consider visiting a repair shop

- Press the "TV" button on the remote to set it to control the TV.
- Press the "Power" button repeatedly until the TV turns off.
- Press the "OK" or "Enter" button to save the code.
- Manual Code Entry:

- Enter the code using the number buttons on the remote.
- Test if the remote now controls your TV. If not, repeat the process with a different code.
- Try Common Codes:
- Some common Sylvania TV remote codes for Philips remotes are 0810, 1684, 1886, 2183, 1081, 1172, 1196, and 2049. Try entering these codes manually.

I have a Sylvania 55inch LED 4K TV Model SL551ANU that has sound but no image.
If your Sylvania 55-inch LED 4K TV has sound but no image, it could be due to several reasons. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the connections: Make sure that all the cables connecting your TV to other devices, such as cable boxes or gaming consoles, are properly plugged in and secured. If any cables are loose, reattach them and try turning on the TV again.
- Check the input source: Make sure that the TV is set to the correct input source. If you're not sure, cycle through the different input sources using the remote control to see if the image appears on any of them.
- Adjust the brightness: Sometimes, the brightness of the TV can be too low, making it appear as if there is no image. Use the remote control to adjust the brightness of the TV and see if the image appears.
- Perform a power cycle: Turn off the TV and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This will reset the TV and may fix the issue.
- Contact the manufacturer: If none of these steps work, it may be a hardware issue. Contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician to diagnose and fix the issue.
It's important to note that attempting to fix the TV yourself may void the warranty or cause further damage.

SYLVANIA TV does not power on
- Check the power outlet: First, try plugging the TV into a different power outlet to make sure that the issue is not with the outlet itself.
- Check the power cord: Make sure that the power cord is securely plugged into both the TV and the power outlet. Check to see if the cord is damaged or frayed in any way, which could prevent the TV from receiving power.
- Test the power inverter: You can test the power inverter using a multimeter to determine if it is functioning properly. If it is not working, you may need to replace it.
- Check the TV's internal components: If the power inverter is functioning properly, there may be an issue with one of the TV's internal components, such as the power supply board or the main board. In this case, you may need to have the TV repaired by a professional technician.
