DSE LCD TV GE6400 keeps asking for a pin code that
Hi this code is the parental code or child lock, I believe, now, the reset code is in the user manual, I have searched online for the manual, however I have been unable to find one? All I can suggest, and as it is a **** Smith product, that you contact a DS shop, and ask them how to reset their product, or ask them where to obtain a user manual?
No sound on tv
Might have to check from the speakers , the audio output IC's and the preamp circuit.
it will be easy to find out with a audio signal test applied from the output and moving backwards.
If the test proves good till the preamp it can be the fault in the audio processing , the SIF.

did you send it certified or something saying delivery confirmation? address of where it was sent. Was there an RMA number on the box? Check with the post office and ask for supervisor next time you call.
Display problem
if this is a portable tv or an older one your state might have gone to digital programming therefore you can only get canada stations only. but try your brightness/contrast controls and make sure they are not low.
There is a black mark on my 42 inch lcd tv it is
if you just got it take it back to the place where you have bought it. contact emerson and tell them about it. also, make sure you purchase an extended warranty next time if you have not done so. also, check and see if it has been recalled. if it is on your screen then i would use a eyeglass clearner to clean the spot.

I saw a piece in the local evening paper, which said "if a code number is required, use '1234' or '0000'" The '0000' worked.

Alba TVs are manufactured in Albainia and the service info is next to impssible to obtain. I would try to troublehoot the deflection circuits. Possibly horizontal output or one of the regulators.

It's much cheaper to go ahead and replace the whole set because the T.V.s are so cheap that they cost less than the repairs.
