Dishwasher does not drain

If the dishwasher won't drain, the drain pump might be defective. Test the pump motor with an Ohm meter. Drain pumps are not repairable, if it's defective it will need to be replaced. If the dishwasher won't drain the check valve might be stuck closed. The check valve is a device which prevents water from returning to the dishwasher after it has drained. If the valve gets stuck closed, it will prevent the water from draining. The check valve is located in or at the outlet of the pump that the drain hose attaches to. Sometimes the check valve is accessed from the inside of the unit depending on the model.

My lg dishwashers door will drop open suddenly

If it is sudden opening during cycle then it is due to pressure build up inside the dishwasher is forcing the door to open. a) Most likely your door latch is not holding proper enough. Quite common on LG. b) May be your vent in the dishwasher is blocked so the pressure inside cannot get out. If vent blocked you have plate drying problems too. c) Is the dishwasher leveled properly. Is it leaning to the front. This will be that extra help for the door to open when pressure build up inside the dishwasher.

''IE'' error code on my LG dishwahser

According to the owner's manual it's a 'water input error'. You have to check for a kink or clog to the water hose running to your machine.

LG LDF6810 stops with LE error code

This seems to be a very common problem withe these dishwashers. The LE error code (locked engine) is not allways indicative of a motor problem. I had the same issue with my diswasher (3 months out of warranty). I found out that one of the gray wires which runs the length of the door panel was pinched and broken simply from the repetative motoin of opening and closing the door over time (very poor design). Good news is that it was an easy fix. Simply unscrew the front door panel from the retaining screws on the inside of the perimiter of the door. Once the screws are removed pull down and out to remove the door panel. Remove the sound insulating material and you will see several wires routed from the contol panel the length of the door to underneath the unit. Inspect the wires thouroghly. Near the bottom is where the pinching can take place. There are two gray wires and if you have been getting the "LE" error code, one of those wires is most likely broken or pinched. Splice, reconnect, solder or tape and you're back in buisiness!

I've had the heater element replaced, but the water still is not getting hot.

If the heating element is fine then the problem is hard water. www.dishwasherfilter.com has a product to solve this problem once and for all. It filters the water going into your dishwasher and removes the hard minerals that leave those spots. It is very affordable and even has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look with this product.

LG Dishwasher LE error

When you repair the wires, be sure to wrap the wire harness is plastic like the type you would find in Safeway produce section.  This will keep the wire harness from getting melted on to the black insulation and creating this problem again.

LG LDF6810 won't turn on.

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/PUMP MOTOR/DRAIN to work when it is commanded .If this does not happen then the voltage at these points must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage/drive from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

Check how to remove the control panel: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/dishwashers/a/3/1287/how-to-replace-a-hotpoint-dishwasher-fascia-p.html

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor. The water pressure must be good and the spraying must be seen to be good. If there is low pumping or pressure then the spray arms will not turn around to inject with pressure. If so the pump must be checked for clogging.

To replace check this link:

http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/dishwashers/a/3/1293/how-to-replace-the-spraying-system-on-a-dishw.html

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

Our LG 6810 dishwasher has

1.) Take racks out of unit.
2.) put both of the spray arms in the 12 o'clock position
3.) Run the washer, once the washer has started wash cycle, open the door and ensure the spray arms have moved off of the 12 o'clock position. Write down results. Also write down the amount of water that is in the tub.
4.) On the drain/pump filter take off the top four pieces as shown on the diagram pg.28 of the service manual.Look for large pieces of debris. Fill tub up with water then cancel/drain.
Note and write down how much water is in tub after draining.

This procedure will allow us to isolate the issue.
It could be one or some of the following.
1.)drain clogged or drain motor defected.
2.) Wash pump defected or filter clogged.
3.) Spray arms clogged.

Please post results.
Thanks.....

Have a lg model lds 5811st model dish washer for a

take off the door cover and you will find the wires melted into a black blown in insulation. Carefully free the wires and run a quick check to see if any of the wires are broken. If they are cut them and splice them back together. It takes a while because there's a lot of wires to check. Then put the wires inside of a bicycle tube and secure it. Put your door back on and try a quick run you will know ASAP if it is fixed or not. That is what we did for mine and so far it is doing OK. The real fix is dump the LG and go for another brand. That will be my final fix for this. Also you should notify LG about this problem since they act like it has never happened before. Next they should be reported to a safety council of some kind. This should not be allowed to continue.

Dishes do not come out clean. It runs thru the

My first guess is to check the spray arms are not blocked from spinning by a large plate or utensil and /or the spray arm orfices are clogged. Removal of the spray arm should be fairly simple and run water through the center of the arm and see if it comes out the jets.
