Reduce speaking volume by changing the speaking volume
major adjust switch setting. See page 15 in the User's Guide (link below).
• Point microphone towards your chin.
• Listening volume too high on phone. If your phone has a handset
volume control, lower this until the distortion disappears.
• If the distortion is still present, lower the listening volume adjust
button on the headset. If the distortion persists, select another
listening volume major adjust switch setting. See page 14 in User's Guide.
• Base is too close to computer or phone. See page 9 in User's Guide for
proper positioning.

Lowering the ring volume on the phone only decreases the sensitivity of the lifter, which generates the signal to the headset. The signal volume between the two is preset and cannot be adjusted.

CS55 headset battery was dead

On your base there are the numbers 1-4. Put the # 1 in the 3 O'Clock position like a clock. Try putting the letters that are in the bottom on B.

Hi! Yes, wireless devices can cause interference on other wireless devices. The devices are normally defaulted to channel 6 (as are wireless routers). If you have the ability to change channels on these devices, change the channels to 1 or 11. also if you have the transceivers too close to the phones themselves, this can also cause interference and that echo you are hearing. Good luck.

Incoming call alert

You will need the Plantronics HL10 handset lifter in order to have the CS55 ring, indicating an incoming call. The HL10 also allows you to answer remotely on most phones and hang-up remotely.

We're had customers call with similar issues. First, make sure your compatibility dial is set properly (located on the side of the base). If set incorrectly, it will make your headset inoperable. If that doesn't fix your issue, try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and then perform a subscription. Both steps can be found below:
