How do i remove the battery on a macbook white

on a unibody you have to use a special tri wing screwdriver. ifixit.com sells them cheap. you need to remove back cover, 8 screws Phillips head, then you need to lift the battery connector from the logic board with a spudger available at ifixit.com or some other tool that is plastic. ifixit.com has detailed instructions for free. no catch. taught me a great deal. on how to do anything to your macs. for free-no catch. there are a couple of Phillips screws inside and three tri wing screws. the first two tri wing screws are visible and the third on is under a small plastic flap near the slot where you load disks.

Ibook external monitor hardware

Hi, Check which video out connector your mac has (there have been a few in the last gew years) and then buy the appropriate adaptor from the apple store. (or ebay) This will give you a standard VGA connector that you can then connect to most monitors with a standard VGA lead.

My adapter won't charge my mac notebook..and the computers fan doesnt work

Apple is advising all owners of MacBooks or MacBook Pros bought after February 2006 to download a software update that will help fix some battery issues. The update, available through Software Update in the Apple menu or here on Apple's site, was released to correct some battery performance problems, such as shorter than usual battery life or problems charging the battery, according to a Web page on the support section of Apple's site. But if that fix doesn't work, notebook users should contact Apple to have their battery replaced if they notice the following symptoms, cut and pasted from Apple's support document: * Battery is not recognized causing an "X" to appear in the battery icon in the Finder menu bar. * Battery will not charge when computer is plugged into AC power. * Battery exhibits low charge capacity/runtime when using a fully charged battery with a battery cycle count (as shown in System Profiler) of less than 300. * Battery pack is visibly deformed. Apple says these problems aren't safety issues, just performance-related, a relief for those who remember the massive battery recall of last summer. Apple had to recall 1.8 million batteries manufactured by Sony as part of a larger recall that affected just about everyone in the PC industry.

Mac laptop will not turn on

1) Try your battery in another Mac.
2) Try a different battery in your Mac.
3) Try your power adapter on another Mac.
4) Try another power adapter on your Mac.

Go to an Apple Store if you don't have a friend you can borrow equipment from.

If your battery and power adapter work perfectly on another Mac, and working power adapters and batteries do not make your Mac turn on, then your Mac is broken internally and you need to take it to the Apple Store to get it repaired.

I HAVE A APPLE I

If you have forgotten your code, you will need the OSX disk to reinstall.

This will wipe all your files though, if you need to save the files you will have to take the computer to a repairer.

Hope this helps!

My mac screen is in negative and it still doesnt

Unfortunately with any kind of liquid damage all bets are off. You can change one thing and it may or may not fix the issue. And after some time you might have a completely different issue. You're smart thing is to cut your losses and get a new computer. Remember to backup your system before you lose everything. To be quite honest I'm surprised still working. Good luck.

Macbook says it is not charging but plug indicates

This usually means that your battery is not holding a charge anymore. You will have to replace your battery. A cheaper route is to keep it always plugged in.

Having removed a cd screen

The flashing question mark, indicates that the system cannot see the operating system.
Check for a failing hard drive
Trying booting from the Mac OS X install disc. insert the Mac OS X install disc. press the start button, while holding down the "C" key on the keyboard
Once you are running from the disc. go to Disk Utilities select the hard drive click the "repair permissions" button at the bottom.
If you get any red errors listed or it doesn't seem to finish repairing the permissions you have a failing hard drive and it will need to be replaced.
If this process finishes without any issues you will have to reinstall your operating system.

Truthfully i got my ibook g4 used & not in

First of all, any kind of repairs done to this machine. Will will be very costly. But if you want to spend the money and the time. You can take the computer apart and check the trackpad and mouse button. You are looking for connection quality. Look for corrosion of the connectors, water damage, and sticky residue. Cleaning all of these things up with rubbing alcohol may help but, it's not guaranteed. You might have to replace the trackpad and mouse button.
Your best bet is to check an online auction site for a old machine that you can use for parts. Good luck.

Ibook a1005 won't start .My daughter had a ipod

Ok, there is something you can do to try to fix this. You need to reset the power management circuits - it's very simple, just follow these instructions:
  1. Firstly, try a less drastic approach - hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds. This may succeed in starting up your iBook.
  2. If that doesn't work, you need to reset the power management. Unfortunately, there are plenty of different models of iBook and many have different ways of resetting. You'll need to consult this guide to decide which way will work for your model.
If you need a hand figuring out what type iBook you have, just ask, and I can guide you through figuring it out. Same goes if you don't understand some of the instructions.
Hope that helped, good luck!

My ibook g4 track pad

More than likely, you have the preference for "tap to click" turned off. To fix this:
  1. Go to Applications/SystemPreferences.app or the System Preferences dock icon
  2. Click on the Mouse preference button
  3. Make sure that the checkbox next to "Tap to click" is turned ticked
* If you are using a more recent version of OS X you will instead see a "trackpad" option in System preferences. This is what you want to select to change this setting

Blue screen of death :-(

Could be a hard drive failure, but more likely it is an OS failure. You might need to reinstall the OS from the OS X discs that came with your laptop. If you no longer have those discs, you might want to make a Genius Bar appointment.

The screen on my apple ibook laptop is black,

First make sure your screen brightness is not turned down. If not, and the computer can still turn on, chances are it's the logic board or display that has gone out. Your computer will need to be repaired by a specialist.
