Numark CDX Turntable Questions & Answers
After playing for 10-15 mins. My song that I am playing starts to slow down and sounds muggy. Then it saids, " calibrating failed, check needle and record'. I have the NUMARK CDX
I'm not certain what type of drive system this deck has but it sounds like it could be a direct drive. In which case it could be that after 15 minutes some kind of semiconductor is getting hot and playing up, so it effects the speed. An examination of the components might reveal a very hot IC or transistor. You could even try to spray it while the device is running and playing up, with Servisol Freezer Spray. If it returns to normal once the suspect part is sprayed, you have a faulty part. You must only spray one suspect part at a time, not allowing the spray to go on other parts, or you will get the wrong result. And if it has no effect, you must allow it to warm up again, before testing another part with the spray.
The platter on my CDX
That is normal vinyl itself was never really straight and as for the platter it should have some give to it now if it looks like a bent rim on a bike then i would send it back but a little play is fine.
How too conect numark cdx
All you have to do is to connect the 2 RCA audio line out from the CDX at any pair of the 4 line inputs (RCA too) at the 1200mk2. Keep in mind: Don't connect the CDX out at the PHONO inputs of the mixer.

Platter spins very slowly
Well hope fully its something small. check your pitch control first make sure its not set at a slow speed. then check your start stop knobs at the bottom of the table. roll them one way then start it see if that works, then the other way... if its not that then its possibly its a malfunction ,, Numark with there new awesome products but sometimes faulty that turntable wigs out goin slow then normal then slow ect... If its less then a year send it in it is coverd by warrantee
My numark cdx wont take cds in? wat is the problem
Hi,
probably a electronic motor failure, or the sensor to auto pullin the cd's is broke, or the chip is failing...
it might be best and safest to have your local tecnician take a look at it.
Hope this is helpful, and greetings,
Olivier.
Powers up but thats all folks......
Hmm, that is rather strange. Have you moved the unit recently, or took it to a gig? Might have received a power surge or similar, which might have caused it to freak out. Not much you can do, but you might want to contact Numark (in Rhode Island - 401.658.3131) to obtain instructions on resetting the unit - might work, might not work. This generally involves either turning off the unit and pressing a series of buttons on the unit, downloading a small file, or obtaining a CD from the manufacturer. Numark's tech support is pretty decent, but they don't go too in-depth.
If the resetting does not work, then you obviously have a more serious issue, and will need to have a service tech take a look at it. Might be a blown Resistor or Capacitor.
Sorry, there isn't much more you could really do.
Good Luck!
Cdx doesnt read any cd.....
Numark has yet fix this issue. You will need a replacement CD drive, they swap right out. Their warehouse is located in Cumberland RI (US). Unless you could score one on ebay. I have about 3 of them, you interested?
Just need this manual if possible
I need Service Manual on Nuwmark TT200, turntable, motor inop, Ic TA7259P need to know the layout, has power supply voltage an regulators seems to be ok, comes on but motor inop.

CDX wont read any CDs
The CD transport (reader) is shot. These units are known for this! To date, they still havent fully corrected the problem. A band-aid fix is to buy a new transport thru numark or parts dealer.
Not reading any cd's
they are known for this! Does it take cd in for a few seconds and spit out? Does it take cd in and just tick? (if you put ur ear up to the drive you'll actually hear it try to spin but just give a lil tick noise). Numark does sell a replacement cd drive which isnt exactly a 100% fix but worth a shot seeing how the unit cost quite a bit. If you do end up replacing the cd drive and does not fix your problem there is also an internal cable. Once you pull out the drive, look inside to the left you'll see a white flex cable which may need to be re-seated. Let me know how you make out!
