When you put it in, make sure the charachters on the "printwheel"are facing AWAY from you. (towards the paper.) And make sure it is latched in place. Put the ribbon and correction tape back in properly. Turn the machine on. The printwheel should automatically reset itself. If it doesn't, it need professional help
