Where do I find the switch to the Feed Dog on Brother XL-3500

ARE YOU TRYING TO WIND A BOBBIN? YOUR HAND WHEEL CAN BE PULLED OUTWARDS AND THE DOGS WON'T WORK. THE ADJUSTMENT ON THE TOP WILL CHANGE THE LENGTH OF THE STITCH SO THE LENGTH OF THE FEED DOGS IS CHANGED.

Please help! I have a Brother Innovis 4000 embroidery machine. My machine is skipping stitches then the needle falls out or bends/breaks. This happens even after I changed the needle and rethread the

I would double check your Threading. Make sure the thread coming from the spool is not getting caught on something. Try keeping the presser foot up, and then pull out some thread from the back of the needle, does it seem tight to pull? Now lower the presser foot, is it more difficult to pull out? It should be but not so much that it is bending the needle. If it is to tight, there could thread caught in the tension discs. Remove the left side panel above the needle on the machine. Check to see if you can see any threads. IF not, lower the thread tension and see if that helps. Good luck

What number of size needle is xl 3500

Hello Veronica, The needle system for your machine is 130/705H or 130/705HB also recognised as a 15x1. This is a very common system for most all home machines. The needle measures 1 17/32 inches long , and has a flat side on the shank. There are nine different thicknesses of needles in this system ranging from 60/8 being the thinnest to 112/19 being the thickest. 90/14 is the most popular. I prefer 110/18 for the repair of jeans. The smaller the number, the smaller the eye of the needle. The larger the number, the larger the eye of the needle. The thickness of material you want to sew and the thickness of thread you want to use will determine what size needle you should use .

The casing on my bobbin has come loose and now

Does your bobbin case look like this? If so, it has an adjustment that can be made. http://sewingmachine221sale.bizland.com/store/page40.htmlThere is a small screw on the edge where the thread comes out. This video shows it. I didn't watch and listen, but I did forward and see that it shows how to do the adjustment.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApTBtyUCV6c

Sewing Machine (brother XL 3200)

You may have the bobbin case in wrong.  I have this machine, and I know that it is really easy to put the bobbin case in wrong.  Try taking it out and making sure that the little stop is in the front and it is seated down in there and able to wiggle back and forth.  My experience with this machine, until the other day when my cat knocked mine off the table and knocked something out of alignment, is that it just works.  Any time mine hasn't worked, it has either been dirty, needing oil, threaded wrong or the bobbin case wasn't seated right.  In other words, it has always been my fault.
