I just wanted to confirm stopgo's solution. A few notes/elaborations:

1. Open the front door of the washer, and run your hand behind the big, gray rubber gasket. You might feel/see small items stuck there.
2. If you kneel in front of the washer and look along the very bottom edge, you'll see 3 screws in a row. They are of the "torx" type. Unscrew them and then jiggle out the bottom panel. Inside you'll see a large plastic (off-white color) drain, and you can unscrew the 3-inch diameter cap off it and pull it out. The backside of the cap is a filter. Clear it out and put it back in. (We found a baby sock there).
   

Note also that when you pull out the bottom panel and look inside the cavity of the machine, there is a special manual for service technicians, stuck on the inside wall. I pulled that out -- there were some interesting/helpful information on that sheet telling you how to troubleshoot problems, including checking the drain filter.

Funny that the instructions for checking the drain filter cannot be accessed until you open the bottom panel to check the drain filter!

my epic will start & wash & then gets F 20 & won't drain until I hit start again

In the majority of cases, leaks on front loaders are caused by a worn or loose door bellow. This is the gray rubber seal around the door opening. If the bellow has any rips or tears it must be replaced. The following link explains how to replace one (if required):

Read through the link provided and inspect the washer cabinet thoroughly. It may help to add some water to the drum.

NOTE: Overloading the washer can cause premature wear on the door bellow. In addition, using the wrong type of detergent (i.e., other than HE), or using the wrong concentration of soap can cause premature wear to the pump seals.

The F11 code means there is an electrical with the Maytag Epic washer. This could involve wiring, fuses or a number of other issues.

Press the "Pause" button twice to stop the current cycle. Press the "Drain" button to remove any excess water. Try to run the washer again. If the F11 code repeats, shut the washer off and contact a service agent

The FH error code may be mistaken for the F11 code. The FH code signals a water supply issue and has nothing to do with electrical problems. Check the LCD screen to ensure you read the proper code

* Epic ZTM washer - F01, F11, F23, F24, F27, F28, F29, F30, F31, and F33


To remove the error display, press Pause/Off or Pause/Cancel twice.



If Pause/Off or Pause/Cancel does not work:

1. Unplug washer or disconnect power for one minute.
2. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
3. Re-select the cycle and press Start.

NOTE: If the error remains on the display, call for service.

Error code SD/5d means LONG DRAIN. This error appears when the drain time exceeds 8 minutes and the water valves turn off. After 4 minutes the "Sd" error will be displayed, and then 4 minutes later the F21 error code will be displayed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL two times to clear the display. Please Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. If the drain hose if fine then unplug the washer and check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects. To access the drain pump and filter remove the front kick panel and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the washer, drain pump would be located there. If you are not able to access it, then replace the back panel as well. Plug in washer or reconnect power. If the issue is still not resolved then you would need to replace the drain pump. The error code FH means no water is detected entering the machine which can be due to a faulty flow meter not registering the correct amount of water that has passed through it or the pressure is not tripping from the empty position to the full position when the correct water level has been reached. Your machine is definitely made by Whirlpool like other Kenmore and Maytag washing machine so they are basically the same and troubleshooting is then the same. I found that mine was having a sud error. I removed the lower front panel and removed the filter. It was full of lint and loose change. I reinstalled the filter and haven't had a problem since. On a side note I found something interesting laying inside. A service tech guide wich stated to do exactly what I had done.

Just cleaned out the drain inside the Maytag 3000 and boy if that don't fix it nothing will. I think something was growing in there. Seems to be working fine now. Thanks for the help

May be a water pressure sensor problem.
