KWorld PC to TV (0872880887527) Video Capture Questions & Answers
When I connect my model KW-SA235 to my PC and TV,
PC to TV KW-SA235
Even though I have a hi res. 40 inch TV from Sony the quality of the picture from the PC to TV is far inferior to the small screen on my laptop. I can read all the shortcuts in the laptop, but they are completly unreadable on the TV.
I have tried to use the adjustment for increasing the sharpness, but it hardly changes. I tried to use the AV cable instead of the RCA one and although the definition was the same it went black and white,
The instructions tell me to change the computer resolution and refresh rate the pictures are so small that even after scanning then at 600 bpi I cannot see what is on the pictures of the screen.
This is far below the quality that I was hoping for and I am really disappointed. Even copying old videos from the 50's I am getting better pictures than this. There must be a better way of getting the very good screen results on my laptop, - an almost brand new Toshiba , onto my almost brand new Sony DVD Recorder. HDI to the Telly works fine but there does not seem to be a HDMI input, on the DVD recorder only an output.
The inputs available are RCA, AV which the laptop does not have, a scart and a USB which I do not seem to be able to use. So how do others do this. I have a lot of things on a 1.5 terabyte hard disk that I want to put on DVD.
Any comments would be welcome. Thanks George.
Color bars only on KWorld PC to TV - Composite and SVideo
found this reference it may be of help
This
product appears to be defective. I connected it to a working video
camera that produces an excellent picture on a standard monitor. I
looped the video from the camera through the monitor to the converter
which is connected to a new ACER LCD display. The LCD display workes
perfectly when connected to my computer. Using the converter, the
results are poor. You can see the desired picture in the background but
in the foreground there are horizontal bars that scroll vertically
through the picture. I'm returning it for an exchange - will try again.
I need a power usb
You need to purchase a
mini-din USB cable. The unit gets it's power from the PC USB port.
The cable is an off the shelf item at most computer or office supply stores.

My picture is fuzzy from toshiba netbook to tv.
One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA
the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

1. The power light
Hi, I am Steve, lets get you some help
Firstly the device you have does not do what you are trying to do so that could be your initial problem.
The device you have brought is designed to capture analog images and pass them into the computer in a digital format so you can record them to DVD. so you can connect you Video recorded to it and send the images to the computer and they are converted to Digital format.
What you want to do is send pictures from your PC to your TV. Depending on the TV you have there are lots of different solutions.
The easiest way is to save your pictures to your USB stick and plug the USB stick into your TV (If is supports it) or your DVD player. Alternatively you can burn images to a DVD or CD and play them from your DVD player.
I just plugged in kworld
If it is all green, it is usually just the connection that is not plugged in properly - disconnect the cables and re-connect and make sure you did not bend any pins on the connectors. Also make sure it is not a lose connection in the cable (i.e. a damaged cable) test this by bending the cable at the connector - sometimes u find its just a damaged cable that can be replaced.
Only get zig zag lines
1. try to setup a different setting in setup menu where are you can setup the NTSC or PAL sistem2. change the driver
I think the driver change will help.
No picture just different straight up colors
I had the same exact problem with my PC to TV only showing colored
bars. I watched a lot of videos/read many forums to try to figure this
out.
The solution was very simple.
I did two things wrong: 1) I was using a different VGA cable then the
one that came with the unit. 2) My PC resolution was not set to
1024x768 so my tv couldnt read it.
MAKE SURE you use the VGA y-cable provided with the unit and MAKE SURE
you plug the one labeled "PC" into your PC (as opposed to the other
blue one labeled "monitor," which i dont use. it DOES make a difference)
Then i press fn+F7 (my particular hot key for external monitor display.
every comp is different, so check yours online/in the manual) on my
laptop. I had to enable the "XGA 1024x768" option under the "fn+F7
settings." (all i did was check off a box for this option and click OK.
then i was able to use that option)
Once i did this, POOF!!!! Away went the annoying colored bars and up came my computer!! HOORAY!!!
So lets recap:
1) use the provided y-cable to connect PC to TVtoPC and plug them in according to its label.
2) make sure your hot key settings has the option for "Presentation on Projector and Notebok : XGA 1024x768" and enable it. (i assume xga=vga???)
3) once you click that resolution option, your picture should come up!
(if not, then just reset the pc to tv and it should work!
I hope this helps you with your problem!!
PS: I read that the computer needs to have a screen refresh rate of 60
hz. This is accessable thru right click->preferences->display
settings->advanced settings->monitor->refresh rate. I didnt
need to mess with this cuz my PC already had that setting. the
resolution was the actual problem.
PS #2: I saw many videos on youtube saying that you needed to switch to
monitor 2 under the display settings. this is contrary to my setup. I
am still using monitor 1. just with the 1024x768 res. instead of my
normal 1400x1050 resolution.
Sorry if this is really wordy! Hope it helps you solve your problem and keep you from throwing your PC to TV out the window!!

When i hook up my kworld pc to tv model kw-pctv
I think th eproblem is from the resolution set in the computer ..depending on the video card you have ...look in the tray system (the right side of the task bar ..where all the working programs are displayed) ..and click (right) on the video driver icon ...and on display modes...and change the resolutions until the image is good..Im not sure which one will work cause there are a few there ...but when the image will clear you will know that that is the one ..Just make some trials..
the issue might be that the resolution set is not fitting with the large screen of the TV ..try a larger resolution for it ..
After that if the Icons seams too small just right click on the desktop ..and go to properties...and settings ..(the last one in the right ) ..and advanced and enlarge the icons and the writing ..
you can also change the resolution from the settings here ..
Not getting sound through device.
Please explain the exact issue cause from what you said all i understand is that you have no sound ..but it is not obvious what kinda devices you have with what kinda connection cable ..and from what you need to get sound ..in what device ..
What do I need to
a sound card for your motherboard or an external usb sound card
hope this helps
When I hook it up
see the installation is quite tricky and it requires to install drivers on some units which are non-compatible with the tuner.:
here the procedure:

click the link directly.it will tell you how to download the exact drivers and then how to install them and how to properly hook it up to successfully view tv.
