If your computer has a dial-up modem plugged into the PCI slot, and you don't use it, remove it and install the TV card.

The E-Machines T5082 comes with a dial-up modem that takes up 1 PCI slot. Remove this modem and install the TV card in its place.

I have an emachines t5082 and tried installing 2GB

eMachines recommends DDR2 at 533MHz.
(PC2-4200)

A lot of ram memory manufacturers, state you can use DDR2 at 667MHz. (PC2-5300)

This is a logical statement due to the fact that a lot of motherboard chipsets, (Northbridge chip specifically),
will allow ONE step up in ram memory frequency rate.

You are going Two steps up.
Who told you this would work?
This is erroneous.
(Mean that in a nice sort of way)

PC 6400 is DDR2 at 800MHz.

Your eMachines T5082 motherboard uses an ATI Radeon Xpress 200 motherboard chipset.

This chipset will only support DDR2 at 667MHz at best.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xpress_200

Suggest you send that ram back, and get PC2-5300.

I want to upgrade an Intel Pentium 4 631 3.o Ghz

You can use the intel processor compatibility tool here. You first need to take note of the motherboard's exact model number to find an exact match.

The model number is printed on a sticker on the board near RAM slots (typical, but may also be elsewhere).

As for the manual, the e-machines has the following information on this site. Drivers can be found here.

I am having a problem with my computer (e-machines

This sometimes happens because it appears that the USBs develop some type of memory and it fills up the USB register. Uninstalling/deleting the USB ports and rescanning for them may resolve this.
Unplug all USB devices except for you Keyboard/Mouse. If you have a spare or your mouse is already a round PS2 instead of USB, this is better.
First thing I would go to my Device Manager. (XP - Right-click My Computer / Properties / Hardware tab at top / Device Manager *** Vista - just click your start button and start typing 'Device Manager' and it should show in your list.) Scroll to the bottom of the list where you see 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers'. Start right-clicking and deleting each individual one. If you have a USB mouse, when you lose control of it, plug it into a different port. You can also unplug your keyboard at this point. Continue until finished.
If your mouse was USB, you will have to push your power button for a moment to restart your computer and redetect all USB ports. If it is PS2, use your mouse and click on the 'Scan for hardware changes' icon at the top of the Device Manager screen. Hopefully this works.

My burner does not recognise disk for burning

some burners can only use certain formats for burning to. For example, CD Burners may only be able to use CDRs, and not CDRW (RW is rewriteable). DVD Burners may only be able to use DVD+R, or DVD-R, not able to use DVD+or-RW at all, or you might be trying to use DVDRAM. Have a look at the specs listed in the user manual, and go from there.

Computer won't boot.

Yea your processor has overheated. It can be replaced this is what you need https://www.upgradebay.com/c1_itemdetail.asp?rid=22&itemid=168714521 I would open up the bay door and take a look at the main fan that is attached to the motherboard. If you can get that off then you will be able to see the chip that you need to replace. Make sure to put on a bit of thermal grease before you put the fan back on your new CPU as this was the reason your old one crapped out. Good luck!
