Im a retired installer so let me talk u thru this. If you can disconnect the power plug from back of unit, pull it out give it a few seconds, plug it back in. U should hear a mech. Noise( that's the CD mech loading. If you don't hear any noise, u probly have a def. Unit. It is also a chance u have a cd already loaded and stuck. If u look carefully u can see a disc in it. The other issue could be a power issue on your yellow wire. Last but not least, not knowing the history, your unit mite be binding. Hope that helps

Sounds like you fried something that was the first thing I thought of after reading this. check all the connectors on the radio see if there is any burnt marks on it anywhere check fuses and the connectors where the face plate goes on to see if it is dirty or damaged

Does you car volume get lower when you stop. If not sounds like an internal issue. No sound at all my brother hooked his up and when he switched to tuner everything would go through the subs but you would not know it sounded like his 6x9s no bass. was a wiring issue. I dont know if this helped or not.

Yes on most alpine units this feature is available but the sub woofer has to be conected to the sub woofer input and if it's setup like this you can go to your audio menu on your alpine unit and turn it up or down I hope this helps.

make sure your antenna is connected. if it is, you may have either a bad antenna or am tuner.

try pressing the reset switch. it should be a small pencil tip sized indentation on the front of the face. it will not be marked.

there is no code for an alpine cda 9885. what seems to be the problem with the radio?

kinda need a discription of allthe wireing check your ground wire make sure its a clean connection on metal

Sometimes they burn up. You can go to walmart and get a coverter box that will convert speaker wires to rcas.
