La Crosse Technology Wireless Temperature Station 9013 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

I have a La Crosse unit right in front of me and it is showing +18 F tonight. Saturday, we are supposedly going to sub-zero.
With regard to your problem, La Crosse instructions are very specific about the battery replacement procedure. Remove all batteries from both units, then install new batteries in the outdoor unit. Allow time for the outdoor unit to "initialize" and begin sending temperature data. Install new batteries in the indoor unit and you should see the outdoor temperature displayed.

1. Disconnect the test leads from any energized circuit and then from the instrument.
2. Turn the range switch to the "OFF" position
3. Slide off the back case battery cover.
4. Remove the battery from the compartment and unsnap the battery connector.
5. Replace the battery with a 9V transistor type battery (NEDA # 1604), For maximum battery life, alkaline cells are recommended.
6. Reverse the above procedure to complete replacement.

I do not believe that you can buy these separately. They are factory programmed and paired together.

Simple, remove the batteries, leave a time without, then put back in place, will return to factory settings alone
