Since Netflix is an online service and doesn't require the use of an optical eye to scan information from a disc,but rather to stream the data across a TCP/IP network, it probably would be a good idea to check firewall settings. Does Netflix work on another system connected to the same internet source?

It may need BD Profile 2.0 Some players will not play discs if this is not present. All new BD discs are BD Profile 2.0

The internet connection inside the unit is not responding, if new! return it, If that is not a option, it will need to go in for service.

There is no setup codes for Blu-Ray players came out till now. Very sorry to say that, no universal of other remotes can be used with any brand of Blu-Ray playes, except their original ones. Likeways, no region hack codes also not available with Blu-Ray players, till now. I can't predict the future. I too looking for such codes. OK.

If you have one movie that it wont play, check to make sure the software/firmware is up to date. There are sometimes updates that fix issues like that.

an upgrade or an update? If it needs an update then it probably has an ethernet port for you to hook it up to your router and it should download the update and install it.

lg bh10 will not read ps3 discs

None have been released for it because the processor inside the player is too weak for the requirements of the new disks.

There is possibility that pirated CD's will not work on standard players as the software within will not allow the decoding. So this is a possible issue because that can be confirmed if you play the original.
Now if you try playing it on very cheap versions it will play as jsut in your PC where it is made to open all data.
So just could be the reason.
But confirm this and comment.

Software updates have to be done on bluray players whenever the technology in bluray discs themselve is changed. If you call the number for 20th century fox on the back of the bluray a representative there will explain to you what has changed technologically in this bluray that has caused there to be software updates for all of the bluray players. I believe LG can send you a disc so that you can update your player. Give them a call. The bluray players are all manufactured and shipped to the stores. In the meantime if an update is needed and its sitting on the shelf at the store until you buy it, even if you've just bought it an hour ago it will still need to be updated. The stores do not unbox the blu ray players and update them for you. However the Geek squad will update bluray players for customers for a fee.

Insignia says it will not work with a universal remote there is no code.
