Steam Wand Leaking on La Pavoni Espresso Si
I HAD the same problem. I fixed it for 50 cents. It takes the removal of 4 screws (2 phillips on top, 2 long standard on bottom by the group) to remove the top to access the steam wand valve. Once the the top (and the chrome bezel) is removed, then screw out the valve counterclockwise buy ALL THE WAY until it comes out. There are 2 O-rings on the stem of the valve that wear out, Cut these off with a sharp knife, go to your local hardware store, buy 2 new ones for 50 cents, install new O-rings, and reverse the disassembly procedure. Voila, no more leaky steam valve!

Machine heats, makes steam, but no water flows through boiler
Hi
If no water comes through and the machine just sits there choking on air, you may have to prime the pump first. This is typically done by opening the steam valve (on the steam wand) and letting it run for half a minute or so. Obviously, this won't affect pump less machines or machines with self-priming pumps.
This may seem obvious, but if your machine has a removable water reservoir, check the valve on it. Then check if the reservoir itself is seated properly in the machine.
It's possible the machine is clogged. The group head (the shower head) can clog easily. You need to consult your manual, but it's usually removed with a single screw. If it looks clogged, try running the pump without the group head. If water still isn't coming out, you may have a more serious problem. If the machine runs without the group head in place, simply soak the group head in hot water for half an hour or so and then wipe the loosened dirt off with a soft cotton rag.
Or it may be a reason of blockage in the outlet valve. The outlet valve is behind the shower disc holding plate and can be removed with 13mm socket. A straightened paper clip needs to be inserted in the outlet to clear any internal blockage, and then pump water through. If the outlet valve splits in two ensure the rubber bung is inserted upwards. Once refitted all should be fine.

System is not priming
This is normal after you leave the machine unused for a long time. The water dirt or scale or both make many parts to stuck like glue. The presure pump might be stuck if even if you here the noise of the vibration the outlet have been blocked. another part that can be stuck for the same reason is the water solenoid. Both can be fixed by remove them desasemble them and clean them with a wire brush. If you have a litle technician knowladge this is a very simple operation. Of course if you persist you might unsuck by trying the procedure you mention but it seems that now it is hard to be hapen.
Good Luck

When the pump is activated by the coffee switch
Hi there it sounds like the pressurised handle has a blockage in it or your coffee is too finely ground. The handle is spring loaded as well so make sure when you push the handle over to the right that the actual handle comes back to the centre so to open the inside to allow coffee through. If blocked try putting the head of the handle into a solution of descaler.
All the best

Pavoni Si - leak from above filter holder
Check your screws in the bottom of the portafilter, If they are too tight the spring mechanism inside can't do its job, adjust them and it should work. Also, don't over fill your portafilter, if you put too much coffee in then there is to much pressure and again the water will flow from the top. Hope this helps
