Remove the POWER or GROUND from the RX blocking diode next to the Audio Transformer.

If SSB works. then the AM - Regulator Transistor is bad.

I did a google search and the only CB shop I found was this one. Unfortunately there are not a lot of CB shops around any more. You may have to send it out to one for repair. Most do business over the internet now, and rely on shipping the radios. there are a bunch out there.

You can google any of these, or just CB repair.

when you say on frequency are you using the radio frequency counter or an external one ? If you mess round with the wrong adjustment you will never get it back on frequency . If you go to a truck stop , for the most , they all have a cb shop . There are two truck stops in black river falls and I'm positive one of them has a shop.

Look for open resistors near by, if the 2SC1969 shorted it has taken out one or two parts, also check for open foils on the printed circuit, beyond this a circuit diagram is needed.

magnum s9 they seem to drift a bit on till they warm up my s9 dose the same on till it heats up then it comes ok

sounds screwed...may be a short...change mics then try it....or take to repair shop.

In answer to your question, no, it is no a problem with the final. I would try turning the ALC control (VR12) until you have 45 Watts out. (Ref Magnum S9 alignment procedure on CBtricks.com.

You have a SWR problem..Check your cable and antenna..

find the mods on the radio to find out the limiter number example tr32 or dr 112these are not actual mods for your radio it will be listed on the green part of the board in white most likley it will be removed so you would have to get a new resistor and soldier it back in adjust your mic gain down and keep your moulth away from the mic when speaking if you havent done that already .You could take it to a tech.
