THE DEFAULT SETTING IS REGION 1 FOR THE US

on most indash video players theres a wire on the back of the deck that needs to be hooked to the e-brake wires with out doing this you can not view movies or games. the only thing about them is you can not view them while driving the brake needs to be on

unfortunately this model does not work unless the emergency brake is applied or if it is in reverse

KENWOOD SECURITY CODE CLEAR procedure


Your radio will require one of the following procedures.

Type 1
During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds (so that “…” disappears).
Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 2
Press the "Auto" button and "Track up" on face of radio at the same time. The four dash lines ( . . . . ) should "disappear".

Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 3
Model# DPX-4020 and DPX-4030
Press and hold the 1 then the 6 preset key (preset keys are the buttons on face of radio for storing you "favorite" radio stations). "C" should display.
Then using your remote, enter your code.


Enter your number from the remote control unit. Your code number is 5227 (KCAR)

* Press numeric key “5” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 3 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “2” ( 1 time ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key
* Press numeric key “7” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key

The security is canceled and the set enters the TUNER mode!

after disconnecting battery asking for code and i cant find remote help

This is an internal problem with the CD/DVD mechanism that can not be repaired without professional service. You can always try running a cleaning disc thru it, but that is unlikely to help.

This is a very exspensive system and should only be service by qualified service technicians.

There are no tricks to getting it to work.

Have Kenwood KVT-717DVT.
It will uncurl and open screen and show only one screen. It's on "standby". The one screen shows the touch buttons "Audio", "Set Up" and "SRC". These touch button will not perform any functions.
I changed Motorhome's house batteries and this is the problem that occured.
Need the backup camera. Any solutions?

CONTACT KENWOOD AND GET ONE OF THERE UPDATED DISC.

Did you look online or do you have a owners manuel? There is usually a factory set password such as 1-2-3-4 etc, unless you purchased it second hand and the previous owner custom set - then you have to contact the previous owner or Kenwood. Most people dont change the factory passwords. TRY KCAR (5227 ON A KEYPAD) uf that doesnt work read the forum post on: ecoustic.com. Good Luck
