On your home PC, did you have to first install the driver software that came with the recorder,or is the firmware built into the recorder? If your home PC is non-Mac, say Win##, that could be the root, as Apple Macintosh runs on the LINUX platform. Otherwise do a web-search for 'Linux driver for Dazzle #####'

Likely the VCR is unable to function properly anymore, however it would not hurt to check the cables. Some cables when they get old develop shorts in the wires this is also a probable cause. Try new cables first then a new VCR.

hello, my name is Adam, i am going to try and solve your problem, to do this all you need to do is start recording with your dazzle through pinnacle studio, then open up amcap, here I might be a little sketchy as I do not have the best memory, but at the top I think it sais something like capture, click on that, then at the bottom it should say like options or something, then when you click on that there should be a little drop down menu with different things such as NTSC and Secam, you want to choose the one saying Secam_B, once you have done that minimize amcap and then you should be recording in colour in pinnacle studio. I had a look around myself but I couldn't find a way of downloading off the internet, Thee was other options I had though, either buying a new disc, looking for your old one or even just asking a friend to borrow one if they have one that is. This will only work with a dvd player, PS3, XBOX 360, and other gaming consoles

You need:
- 3 AV Splitters (2 Female 1 Male sides cord)
- 1 Double sided Video and Audio Cables (Red, white, yellow cables)

Connect your consoles Video and Audio cables to the female sides of the splitters, next attach the Video and audio cables you bought to the splitters as well.
Now plug in the video/audio cables you bought into your TV.
If you did this everything properly this should work.

Have you considered simply using a VGA to RCA cable where you plug the VGA into your monitor port and the RCA plugs into your television? Then you simply play the PowerPoint slideshow on your computer and it shows on your TV (Choose Video1, 2, or 3). Then you don't need Dazzle! You can get one at Radio Shack...

May be just a software bug. Try uninstalling the software. First uninstall it form control panel, then remove the leftover registry entries using ccleaner(free). Download it and run the registry scanner and wipe them out. Then re-install the software and see if the issue is resolved.
